There are walking opportunities from the door, whilst Caernarfon is close by with its impressive Edward I castle and a fine selection of pubs, shops and restaurants. A drive eastwards takes you through the impressive Nantlle Valley to Rhyd Ddu, the starting point of one of the footpaths to the summit of Mount Snowdon. You can also take a trip on a narrow gauge steam train, boarding at one of the Welsh Highland Railway stations to enjoy scenic journeys to Caernarfon or Porthmadog. A myriad of outdoor activities are within easy reach, which include the area’s latest attractions, zip wires, underground trampolines, Surf Snowdonia and world class mountain biking routes.
