Equipment:- Welcome flowers, box of biscuits and milk were a nice touch. The lack of internet and extremely poor phone signal meant it was very difficult to plan days out and take advantage of prior booking offers. Leaflets very much out of date. Good set of maps for walking. Knives were blunt. It took a while to locate instructions for appliances - they need collating into an accessible place. Hair dryer damaged by previous tenant so unusable. The TV is a little small for the size of the room. Conservatory furniture very tired with broken panels. Didn't have need to use the wood burner so can not comment. Cleanliness:- despite a weekly cleaner there were a lot of cobwebs especially stairs and first floor and the conservatory furniture had obviously not been moved to clean. Location:- A very peaceful cottage. Great wildlife. This is a very rural location with access down very narrow country lanes and this needs pointing out in the information as any vehicle wider than our Ford Mondeo would struggle. The local pub, although within walking distance, is very small (like a house front room) and difficult to dine at as it is always full and you have to book in advance which is often difficult when planning days out. Once out of the narrow lanes quite central for amenities and good road links. Avoid the Morrisons roundabout on a Sunday afternoon! Good reasonable food at various places in West Bay.

a lovely cottage if you like peace and quiet only the birds singing, good for dogs in confined garden but would highly recommend a fence between the two cottages whilst our neighbours and their dogs were great i could see a situation where that was not the case.but otherwise a lovely cottage to stay would highly recommend also owners were helpfull

A brilliant little cottage, was able to take our two dogs which was an added bonus. Beautiful walks around the area and well placed for tourist attractions.

Perfect for dogs as well as their owners. The conservatory with it's view and the under floor heating together with meals at the New Inn were the stars. Mr Kirby was most helpful and had a tractor available to help us out through the frozen rain/snow.A good place to stay whatever the weather.

Our second visit to Strawberie Cottage and we hope to return! It is a warm and cosy cottage, and the conservatory is perfect for sunny breakfasts, lazy mornings spent reading, and candlelit dinners. Stoke Abbott is a lovely peaceful location which is ideal for exploring west Dorset.

Second time we have been to Strawberie Cottage and it is still as lovely as ever . With it's wood burning stove , four poster bed , under floor heated conservatory and panoramic views of the countryside , who could ask for more on a quiet stay away .

We loved the cottage and will certainly hopefully be back. Our one and only criticism which other people have mentioned is the gardens not being separated. Not a problem when in the winter but I imagine in the summer when you want the doors open you could have the other cottage's dogs wandering in and vice-versa. I think it would be very simple to section off the gardens.

We had a lovely short break. The cottage is in a very pleasant quiet location with lovely walks on the door step, ideal for those having a dog. Very cosy and comfortable with everything we needed for a super stay.
