Slightly further afield take a day trip to the beautiful Isle of Skye and the Orkney Isles. Outdoor activities available in the area include mountain biking, kayaking, sailing and many other watersports, along with golf, hill walking and skiing in the Cairngorm and Aonach Mor mountain ranges.
