The cottage would benefit from a little refresh and a new mattress on the main bed. The fire needs to be sorted pdq and a rethink done on hiding the main downstairs radiator behind the sofa! But on the whole is very well and thoughtfully equipped. The location is amazing.

Lovely original old cottage set on a hillside with lots of steps up to door. Real home from home. Chilly indoors due to thick walls so heating a must even on warm days. Area around is beautiful and lots of lovely walks from the door. Highly recommend.

Great location right on the edge of the Lake District. Also easy reach to Yorkshire Dale's. Cottage very well appointed, although the walls are so thick it is a little chilly. Plenty of steps to access the cottage but no problem for most people. Lots of cobwebs and I think the cleaning could be more thorough.

Great village location, detached, spacious, comfortable, clean, well equipped old stone cottage with fantastic views over the Lythe Valley, once famous for Damson Orchards. Steep path to cottage with terraced gardens and seating areas. Pub in village, major town for groceries and amenities Kendal 5 miles away. Fantastic walking from door to Scout Scar, Sizergh Castle, Levens Hall and Kendal. Many other Lake District attractions and activities within 30 minutes drive.

Great base for the lake district the cottage was as described in the advert could do with some thicker duvets at this time of the year. The log burner was great at warming the cottage at night
