Perfect for couples or a small family wanting a holiday by the seaside, this ground floor apartment sits on the beach in the picturesque village of Lower Largo. Guests will find a welcoming and comfortable holiday home; the living/dining room looks directly over the beach and Largo Bay, and with a cosy open fire, guests can admire the dramatic sea scape at any time of the year. French doors lead into a little garden with seating where you can relax and listen to the sea or enjoy alfresco dining, weather permitting. Situated in the ancient fishing village of Lower Largo overlooking the Firth of Forth, guests can explore this pretty village and harbour on foot. For children of all ages, the sandy beach is a great place to explore and you can walk for miles along the shore where there are rockpools to examine along the way. Lower Largo is famed for being the birth place of Andrew Selkirk, a famous explorer from the 1700’s whom Daniel Defoe based his book of Robinson Crusoe on and there is a statue outside his home.

There are some lovely walks along the Fife Coastal Path which passes through the village leading to secluded coves, old fishing villages and white sandy beaches. For keen cyclists, the Millennium Cycle Way runs through central Fife, with miles of quiet country roads, disused railways and forest tracks to explore. Further along the coast is the bustling tourist harbour town of Anstruther, with daily ferries and boat trips leaving between April and September to the Isle of May, which is a National Nature Reserve and home to colonies of sea birds, including puffins, and the surrounding waters are the habitat of seal colonies. For guests who enjoy a game of golf on their holidays, there are over 45 courses in this area, including the world famous championship courses at St Andrews which is only 12 miles away.

Sunnyside Beach is perfect for a romantic holiday, where you are able to relax and unwind, leaving the stress of every day life behind and with an ever changing sea view to enjoy. Beach opposite. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

A beautifully presented “escape to the seaside” apartment... literally with the beach on the doorstep and just through the garden gate ~ unbelievable sea views inside and out, comfortable, clean, cosy and up to date with sky/freeview smart tv, DVD, free WiFi, combi boiler etc, but with a traditional and quaint touch to the furnishings and decor, all of which made me feel more at home there than anywhere I’ve ever stayed that wasn’t!! .... can’t wait to return to this little haven and falling asleep to the sounds of the sea!! 🌊😎🏖

Our stay at Sunnyside Beach was really nice, great location good pubs close by, only problem we had was parking, not many spaces, it would be good to have an allocated space for the cottage.

Excellent 2 bed cottage with very good quality furnishings , well decorated and exceptionally clean. Well stocked with a fantastic range of flowers in pots in rear area and planted with foliage in front patio area. Located right by the beach with terrific views of beach , sea and rock pools , which change with the rides. Parking is adjacent and well used. The sailing club next door enhances the experience with sailing activity twice a week, great to watch in front of your eyes. Local shop has minimum requirements, and a local pub and the crusoe hotel provide ample food and drink within walking distance. A quaint place in a quaint village , steps at rear to beach if less able.

The location right on the beach is just wonderful with the constantly changing scene. The house is perfectly clean and comfortable and well equipped. The heating system and open fire make it cosy. I loved the eclectic decor. You could just sit in the garden or by the French doors and self cater - if you want to eat out you need to go to other villages- but they are all gems so well worth it. We'd highly recommend the East Pier Smokehouse in St Monans, and not the chippy in Anstruther that was the best in 2014. So, book safe in the knowledge that you'll have a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

A really lovely seaside apartment with everything you could need. Fantastic views and access straight onto the beach. Parking was a little problematic as there are limited spaces near the cottage, but overall a great place to stay.

It would have been great if there was a shelf in the bathroom for even basic toiletries such as a toothbrush. It let what was a very well equipped cottage down.

We had a wonderful week helped by wall to wall sunshine in April. Cottage flat clean, comfy and cosy. It was a treat to light the coal fire a couple of nights (although we didn't really need it!) Perfect location right on beach and delightful walks along coast path.
