Alnmouth is one of our favourite destinations and we have spent time in several properties over the years . Sunset Point was very nice but the amount of stairs is not good for older visitors, we would not go again because of this. Overall it is excellent the only problems we had were the lack of crockery and glasses, not enough to have more than one meal without having to wash up or use the dishwasher some of the crockery was chipped so when we left I left it to one side. The apartment was very clean and well presented but we had a problem on the first day with the shower tray over flowing because of a blocked filter. I reported it but nothing was done about it so we had to clean it out ourselves which was not pleasant. I sent a photo to the caretaker but received no response.

We stayed at Sunset Point with our 11 year old daughter the second week of Easter. The apartment is very spacious and well equipped. The view over the Aln estuary is stunning. The apartment is very central with lots of restaurants, cafes and small shops within a couple of minutes walk and the beach 5 minutes away. The Northumbrian coast is lovely and we've visited every year for the last few years. the kitchen diner is spacious as is the lounge with large TV and DVD player (not Blu-Ray). Both bedrooms have en-suites, one with shower and one bath with shower attachment. The only improvements we could suggest would be a better mattress and curtains as well as slatted blinds in the bedroom as the blinds let in the sunlight early in the morning. Overall highly recommended.

Excellent accommodation, warm, cosy, would definitely stay here again. The only reason I gave 8 for equipment was because the tv’s wouldn’t work and couldn’t be repaired for 2 days but that was just bad luck!

Really loved Sunset Point, ( apart from the mountainous staircases!) Good exercise though! Apartment was beautiful appointed, lovely furnishings, well equipped kitchen, everywhere was immaculate. The views were stunning and the apartment was very appropriately named. Out of the dorms windows, Good sized longe to share with our two friends, good sized bedrooms and ensuite. However, the views were only visible if you stood up to look out of the dorms windows. ( only knit picking here!) The bed in 1st bedroom on left was so hard, thin and could really do with replacing. (Mattress.) All in all a fabulous week. Good parking facilities. Would definitely recommend this lovely holiday home.
