Located midway between Boscastle and Tintagel, Swallow Cottage is a lovely single-storey, detached holiday cottage. Light, bright and airy in decoration, it has been thoughtfully fitted and furnished to provide a comfortable base from which to explore this lovely part of Cornwall.
Formerly cattle stalls, Swallow Cottage offers a cosy wood burner and a full wall of French doors from the living area, boasting sweeping views across to Bodmin Moor in the distance, and leading to an enclosed patio area ideal for al fresco dining.
The cottage enjoys shared access of the owners’ 10-acre grounds, where there are many walks available including through a secluded wood in the valley. The cottage is close to Tintagel, the mythical home of King Arthur, Boscastle with its picturesque harbour, and Port Isaac, made famous by the TV series ‘Doc Martin’. Further up the coast are the lovely sandy surfing beaches of Crackington Haven and Bude. In the other direction, and equally as beautiful, are the beaches of Polzeath and Daymer Bay which are just past Port Isaac, on the way to Rock and the pretty fishing village of Padstow. Beach 4 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.
