    You can go for a good walk down the canal avoiding traffic. You don't need to get in the car first to drive there. With the lakes on your left and Yorkshire on your right you can easily get to both. A great place for dogs. The only downside is that the cottage does not have enclosed area for the dog. But it won't put us off going back. It was our second visit to the mariner and we had a better holiday.
