What I loved about Thain house was that they thought of most things. A lovely welcome hamper for me and my dog. Essentials for cooking which a lot of cottages don't supply. It was a home from home. Cozy when we needed it to be, jut 15 minutes from the beach which my dog loved. Shame about the weather but we can't have everything. The owner was very helpful and accommodating and went to great lengths of providing a PDF of things to do, see and eat whilst in Banff which was very helpful. A great cottage for me and my dog to hang out in for a week. Will definitely be back!

The house was spotless and very comfortable. The back garden has the sun all day and it’s very peaceful even though you are in a town. There is a lot information about what to do and see in the area prepared by the owner. The beach is not far away that you can walk there, I did with my dogs most mornings as the weather was great for February. I would definitely go there again.

We were staying in Banff as a mix of work and visiting family, and Thain House was a warm and welcome retreat after long busy days. The house is wonderfully well-equipped with everything you could possibly want, and more. We especially loved the massive selection of DVDs! The wide range of ingredients in the kitchen cupboards. And feeding (and watching!) the many birds in the garden with the provided seed. Beds are super-comfy, heating efficient, the shower is powerful and although the house is opposite the local hospital, it was really quiet so we slept so well. Plentiful parking on street - even if can't always park right outside the door, it's only ever a few steps to find a free space. Banff itself and the surrounding area is full of historical interest and is really beautiful at any time of year, plus has a wide selection of restaurants, pubs and walks on the doorstep. Thain House also actively welcomes dogs - what's not to love!

Beautiful home nice and cosy. Everything you could possibly need to use is provided eg: lots of kitchen utensil's loads of condiments etc cupboards full of every piece of crockery you might need. Loads of games/jigsaws/Cds/dvds books wifi even stuff for your dog/dogs treats/bowls/toys and towels. We would definitely stay again and recommended even have housecoats and slippers in all rooms.
