The Acorn was one of the best holiday homes we have rented. It was very comfy, everything we could have needed was available, and it was quiet and felt secluded, despite being in walking distance of a large Morrison's supermarket. The 2 dogs some reviews mention negatively only barked from indoors when we or the postman arrived up the drive, so were absolutely no problem at all during our stay. For a cold weather winter break, it warmed up very quickly and stayed warm.

Our 4th stay at the Acorn.Very discrete owners but always available should you need them. The cottage is always well prepared. We cannot fault the Acorn and when we are in the area it is always our first choice but it is not always available due to its well deserved popularity.

Cosy clean accommodation, well equipped. Ideal for visiting surrounding area, there is a Morrison’s supermarket 5 mins walk from property.

Great stay in a lovely cottage. Local amenities are all there, with a bus stop outside into Cambridge, which beats driving into the City and parking.

ideal for visiting family who live in the area and for exploring Cambridge. Friendly, helpful owners with two well behaved dogs Comfortable accommodation

A fantastic week at The Acorn, we had everything we could have possibly needed and local facilities just a short walk away made life so simple. This is a perfect location to explore Cambridge and surrounding areas, despite area rainy days we achieved all we wanted to. We certainly hope to return in the future. You must say hello to Tison and Scarlet, their bark is worse than their bite😁.

An excellent base for this area

Although the cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped it was right next to the owner’s property. There was no privacy as the windows from each property were facing one another. There were also two rather large dogs who kept barking and ran up to you as soon as you stepped outside. One dog growled and bared its teeth, although, the owner kept saying they would not bite. The location of the cottage was good for exploring the area but our holiday was spoiled by the lack of privacy and the dogs.

Really lovely property in a really quiet location. Will definitely be staying there again. Hosts are very polite and helpful.
