It has a cosy woodburner in the living room and the shower room features a double cubicle.The village is mentioned in the Domesday Book and nestles in the Test Valley with the River Test one mile away - famous for its excellent fishing and popular for a stroll along the Test Way. The attractive town of Stockbridge is 3 miles north. There are many gardens and NT properties to visit nearby including Mottisfont Abbey.     Perfect little getaway for our long weekend.The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The annex was beautiful presented in a quiet location with lots of lovely walks along the river. The local pub was brilliant was for food and atmosphere. We will definitely return!

    A very pleasant property set in a very quaint and pretty village. The Owners, were very kind and helpful. My Wife and I found everything to hand. The location is very quiet even though it is situated several hundred yards from the main through road. What I did find though was: (a) That I could not find any tourist brochures left behind by previous visitors. (b) The hot water from he tap was dangerously hot, I could have made my tea with it. (c) There was condensation on the bedroom windows every morning despite there being a dehumidifier in the room and the window vents left open. Despite this we enjoyed our stay very much.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Annex. It is in a lovely peaceful village and is a great base to explore the local area. The house is a great size for 2 people and is very comfortable and well equipped with plenty of storage space. There is more than ample room to park a car and it is also nice to have your own outside space to enjoy the lovely weather. We thoroughly recommend the property and would be very happy to stay here again when we return to the area.

    The website photos give the impression that you are booking the entire annex building. This is not the case! You will only have access to 50% of the annex as it has been split down the entire length of the building. You only have the 50% that is not shown, not the area show by red cross hash. Parking is a nightmare! Especially when the owners have family visiting, there can be up to 5 cars in drive, not a problem until you get a very large red 4x4 parked behind you. If you have others with you who are vulnerable be aware that the water coming out of the taps are close to boiling. You will also need to make sure the towel rail in the bathroom is turned OFF as it will burn anyone accessing the toilet. The area is VERY restricted! Note that the step from the gravel drive to the accommodation in quite high. The property is very limited on space and with questionable suitability for any other than the most able. If you have a problem with dog poo, think again. The area available for use by front door had a large pile when we arrived and only disappeared after three days.

    I stayed here for six weeks in March and April 2019 while house-hunting. It’s a lovely place to stay, and I felt very relaxed. The accommodation had everything I needed for my extended stay – almost a home-from-home. The hosts are great; very helpful but unobtrusive.
