It is not in a quiet hamlet like advertised..... it is right next door to a day nursery, which you can hear the children throughout the day! I was disappointed with the outside area which is shared and looked directly onto the house of the landlady of the pub. I think photos need to be updated as must of been taken when newly built. I also think it should show / mention how you actually get to the property, which isn’t the most pleasant/accessible route! One last thing that let it down the only window with a view had no view just all overgrown trees/ shrubs.

Just spent a fabulous week here, the only thing I have to complain about was the weather was too hot to walk my dogs!!!!! As for Vicky and Stuart nothing was too much trouble for them, the lovely little extras in the barn we're so welcome, chocs, milk, cereal, Apple juice and many more, the locals in the pub we're so friendly and Anna behind the bar was so lovely :) I wouldn't hesitate to return here albeit in cooler months so we could do the walks with the dogs that we wanted to do! Oh and Vickys dogs are so beautiful....I had a soft spot for lovely Lily she was so cuddly:) thanks Vicky and Stuart and we'll definitely be back soon!!!

Very disappointed! When you wake up in the morning to the owners dogs running around the shared terrace and having to clean their dogs poo up and the strong smell of dogs urine, not what you really want. Also we tried to wash it down but the hosepipe didn't work. We left mid-week. Not recommended.

This was a lovely cottage but if I had known the following I would have booked somewhere else. Just not a good fit for me. cottage approx 100 yards from the road. Not a problem if you know, but carrying bags through two door way and narrow passway up approx six step and across the court yard before you get to the cottages front door is tricky. wifi is poor throws you off every few minutes. Was told on our arrival that a delivery of logs should be that evening or so, but never arrived during our stay (1week later)Thank goodness was warm enough. All Though there was central heating if needed. On our stay very warm under the duvet , no sheet to be found in property. Mugs was either metal or thick pot ones, no nice ones. When booking we requested a stair gate on arrival, the gate was under the bed. Owner couldn't fit it as it was to large for opening. Was left with a wire divider, that the dogs could jump over or knock down as unable to secure. Garden was enclosed but shared, I should have investigated this more as it was shared with owners three dogs. Questionable if the court yard was big enough for five dogs. The owner also just allowed her dogs into the yard with ours without checking if ours were ok with other dogs, this could have ended badly. Also had to keep checking the gate to yard was closed before I could let the dogs into court yard, owner kept leaving gates open and my dogs could get into the pub cellar. At one side of cottage is a childrens nursery so between 9-5 lots of noisy children There was some nice touches in the cottage, chocolate at bed side, fresh orange juice and milk in fridge plus other little goodies like this. Location good for local walking.
