My husband and I had a weeks break as it was my birthday. We were impressed with the Beach House. I would point out that cars use the cobbled path directly outside the front door so be aware when taking your dog out. The cottage is a real home from home and is very well equipped. We made good use of the log burner as it was cold. The bathroom could do with having a radiator installed instead of the wall heater, perhaps there was a technical reason for this. All in all we had a lovely time and were pleased the pub was closed because we like peace and quiet. We will definitely be returning in the future and would highly recommend this cottage.

Lovely cottage in a lovely location, right near the shale beach. The cottage is tastefully furnished and decorated, with an enclosed garden area suitable for a small dog and for sitting out in good weather. The cottage has a log burner which is a necessity in the cold weather!

Gorgeous cottage in a beautiful location. The owner went to a lot of effort to put Christmas decorations up for us. I want to live there!

We loved the cottage, sadly very cold when we arrived, no heating or fire laid. Shower room could do with a little TLC. Pub closed but coffee shop good , weather was very kind to us allowing lots of walks with dog thus sleeping well as very comfortable bed

We chose this cottage because of the location. Perfect for us as we took our dog. Except for a brilliant cafe nearby there isn't any thing actually in Dunure. Would just like to add the cafe is lovely, the food is all freshly made and the people who work there are very friendly. Well worth a visit. We used the Co-Op supermarket a few miles down the road if we needed anything.

We had an enjoyable holiday at the Beech House. Mostly, we were happy cooking and eating in. Whenever we wanted we could cross the front door and enjoy a seat at the harbour, a walk long the beech or scramble over rocks and explore the castle ruins. The cafe at the harbour is excellent too.

Beach House is a lovely spacious holiday let. The owner was incredibly helpful when we had an issue (entirely our fault, not theirs). I think that the cottage could be better advertised for people with minor mobility issues. I have had bilateral knee replacements and there were many aspects of the cottage that suited me perfectly. An example of this is the wet room shower, lots of space to move around in, particularly the kitchen. Parking is close and flat. Though there are a couple of steps down to the patio area they were easy to use and the area is flat. It's also really sheltered from the wind. The cottage is well equipped for a family and very thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. There were plenty of towels and the bedding was good stuff too. The beach and harbour are close by which were great for ball games and crabbing!

The cottage was brilliant, however the single bed l slept in was the most uncomfortable l have ever tried to sleep in the springs where visible when l mentioned this to the owner she said they where only really suitable for children, this was not mentioned on booking For this reason l sadly would not return to the cottage
