We had an enjoyable holiday at the Beech House. Mostly, we were happy cooking and eating in. Whenever we wanted we could cross the front door and enjoy a seat at the harbour, a walk long the beech or scramble over rocks and explore the castle ruins. The cafe at the harbour is excellent too.

Beach House is a lovely spacious holiday let. The owner was incredibly helpful when we had an issue (entirely our fault, not theirs). I think that the cottage could be better advertised for people with minor mobility issues. I have had bilateral knee replacements and there were many aspects of the cottage that suited me perfectly. An example of this is the wet room shower, lots of space to move around in, particularly the kitchen. Parking is close and flat. Though there are a couple of steps down to the patio area they were easy to use and the area is flat. It's also really sheltered from the wind. The cottage is well equipped for a family and very thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. There were plenty of towels and the bedding was good stuff too. The beach and harbour are close by which were great for ball games and crabbing!

The cottage was brilliant, however the single bed l slept in was the most uncomfortable l have ever tried to sleep in the springs where visible when l mentioned this to the owner she said they where only really suitable for children, this was not mentioned on booking For this reason l sadly would not return to the cottage

The cottage was really well appointed and very clean. The property is very close to the beach and there are some nice walks from there. At present the village only has a tea room which is very nice and serves excellent meals and cakes. Unfortunately the pub and village stores had both closed before we stayed but the pub is due to reopen this year. There is a Co-op 4.5 miles away for essentials and newspapers and Ayr has several supermarkets. There are a number of nice places to eat in the area and several National Trust properties close by. Dunure faces the Isle of Arran and there is a good ferry service to cross over to the island.

Really beautifully renovated cottage. Very comfortable, light, airy with attractive decor. The house was very well equipped and just round the corner for a lovely cafe. Only a short drive out of Ayre so there are plenty of amenities close at hand. The only slight disadvantage is that the house is right on the path which leads to the castle so there are quite a few people walking directly passed the living room and one bedroom windows during the day. That is the only disadvantage to what is a beautiful cottage.

if you want a relaxing holiday then this is the place, comfortable sofa and very good facilities. So easy to get out and walk the dog. The Dunure inn right next door has very good food so does the cafe round the corner. One piece of advice in winter months the Dunure inn and local cafe open on different days so you need to plan when you're staying for that, so you don't miss out on on one or the other.
