The property is extremely well located with a spectacular view of the West front of York Minster.
Overall, the furnishings are of a very high specification.
On our arrival the apartment looked fantastic. Therefore, it was very disappointing that during the course of our weeks stay so many snags occurred.
The light bulb in the utility room exploded towards the end our stay. Luckily the falling glass missed my Wife. This left lights not working in the utility room, hall way and second bedroom.
Without over dramatising this we hope that this does not indicate a serious issue with the internal electrics.
In addition, the flush on the en-suite toilet failed on our last morning.
We contacted the property agents and reported the above incidents, along with several other minor issues which hopefully they will be able to rectify before the next visitors arrive.
Whilst the property has a superb location, we have only answered ‘no’ to the would we recommend question as a result of the genuine and severe shock caused by the exploding light bulb.
We enjoyed a great week here in York, we have been visiting the City for many years and we hope to continue return in the future.
Thank you for this opportunity to give our views on the appartment and our stay.

The Brierley is a lovely apartment very close to the Minster which makes it very convenient for the shops, cafes, and restaurants.
We found it very comfortable again on our second visit, there was just a couple of things which were a little disappointing this time.
Some of the lights/lamps didn’t work and the cushions on the small sofa were very saggy, which made it quite uncomfortable.
Having said that we would book again.

The settees were not comfy. A bit old and tired they do not support your back properly . It was the only thing that could be improved. You do need comfort at the end of the day.
The apartment is in a quiet, peaceful location, yet within walking distance of all of York's attractions.
The apartment is spacious and well equipped, with stunning views of York Minster. Our stay was slightly spoilt by the two sofas, one in particular was too uncomfrotable to sit on.

A very nice location and an excellent holiday. The house was comfortable and spacious.
There were no facilities for recycling waste.
There was a dirty pan left in the drawer.
A well-equipped and comfortable apartment in a superb location, with wonderful views of the Minster. We would recommend this property and would definitely return. It is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems as there is no lift and the apartment is on the first floor.
Second time staying and absolutely loved it. Love the heated floors. It’s such a quiet place in arguably the best location. You can’t beat the views of the Minster.
Thanks for having us!
Great location. Could have provided more dish towels but otherwise all other supplies fine. The living room furniture should probably be replaced or restrung, couches were low and hard. Loved watching the people and the Minster from the living room. Would definitely return.
A well-appointed apartment in an ideal location. The Minster bells were audible but not intrusive and did not operate through the night. Parking was a bit tricky and the spot allocated was below trees which was messy.
A little attention to light bulbs and some clearer information on operation of appliances would have been helpful.
Otherwise a delightful stay.
