Lovely tranquil place to stay. Not much around but that’s what we wanted. Some lovely pubs within easy traveling distance. Nice addition of the hot tub use too. We used it every day. The only criticism is that the bedding sets were a little old fashioned. Would visit again !!

Second visit to the carpenters shop and not disappointed. Well equipment. Lovely peaceful garden. Ideally located to visit Alderburgh, Southwold and Sutton Hoo. Owner is contactable if required. Look out the large windows at the back of the property at dusk and witnesses a wonderful display by the local bats. Definitely a home from home.

The cottage is very nice but with a bit of a clean could be excellent. The sofa smelt of dogs, and looked dirty, and needed a good clean, as did the floors, the mop provided needs replacing as it was black and I wouldn't use. The hot tub was full of dead flies so didn't use that either. The cottage was Supposedly dog friendly but, both the garden and the driveway was open to the road so needed to be kept on a lead at all times. The plants in the porch bit made the downstairs smell musty when the door was opened, they need cleaning or getting rid of in our opinion.

The cottage is well equipped with all the white goods in the kitchen. The cottage also has three TV's, lounge and both bedrooms. Very comfortable in the lounge with two large sofas and a single reclining chair. On arrival, we had a small welcome pack and some flowers in the lounge, from the garden. We missed the owner of the cottage on the Monday morning, who left a note hoping we had a nice time and if any problems just to call. The cottage was well located and only 15 to 20 mins travel by car to a good selection of pubs in the area. All of which did food and welcomed dogs. The area around was very picturesque and good for walking and also for cycling, been on the national cycle route number 1 and other cycle net works. The cottage has space in the lounge area to store those who have more expensive bike, that would not like to leave them out side. The only reason for marking down by 1 point, was the bed in the loft area was a bit to soft for our liking. Other wise a great cottage to stay in.
