    The property is all on the ground floor, has gas central heating and comprises:
    Lounge/dining room: With 32" Freeview TV, DVD and sofa bed (for one - please advise if required when booking).
    Kitchen: With electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine.
    Bedroom 1: With zip and link twin beds (which can be made to super king - please advise when booking).
    Bathroom: With shower over bath and WC.

    All gas, electric, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot and highchair available.

    No smoking.

    The Cawledge Apartment is a ground floor apartment situated in a quiet residential area in the historic market town of Alnwick. The apartment has undergone a full makeover to provide fresh and modern self-catering holiday accommodation for couples. Located amongst properties of a similar size and style it is positioned in a cul-de-sac and only two minutes walk from local leisure facilities and supermarket. It is conveniently only a 15 minute walk into the historic town centre.

    Alnwick is an attractive town and a popular destination for visitors. Alnwick Castle is home to the Duke of Northumberland (and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Academy!) and Alnwick Garden is well worth a visit with its Grand Cascade Waterfall and restaurant set within the largest tree house in Europe. Take time to visit Barter Books – one of the largest second hand book shops in Britain. The town has a wide array of restaurants, tea rooms, shops and pubs. For indoor entertainment there is a playhouse/cinema and modern leisure complex with indoor swimming close by.

    The wild heather-capped expanses of the Cheviot Hills are only a short drive west and the sweeping sandy beaches this Heritage coastline is renowned for are only five miles to the east.

    This is an ideal location for couples wishing to combine convenient access to a wide range of town facilities while still being able to enjoy the outdoor experience of the wild and lonely moors and hills across the Northumberland National Park close by coupled with easy access to the magnificent stretch of golden, sandy seashore this region is proud to have designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

    Excellent base, close to town and other amenities. Well equipped with thoughtful touches. Only downside was lack of WiFi. Beds very comfortable, good strong shower.

    Fabulous well equipped apartment. Owners have paid attention to every detail, and made you feel welcome and valued as a visitor/ customer with wine, biscuits and a vase of flowers. 15/20 minutes walk into town, easy to walk or drive. The only minus was the lack of WiFi, but we knew that when we booked and just added data to our phones. Lots of beautiful places to visit nearby. Alnwick Castle and Gardens are the obvious ones. Try an afternoon at Amble, walk to Warkworth Castle and then a short drive to Alnmouth. For Bamburgh Castle we parked in first car park and walked through sand dunes onto beach which was really lovely. If you fancy a drive, we visited Newcastle and the beach at Tynemouth is amazing

    We enjoyed our stay at the cawledge apartment. It has everything you need for a comfortable holiday. Hopefully next time the weather will be kinder.

    I really like this apartment, it is in an ideal location, for the first two days, we didn't take the car out at all, we walked everywhere, close to the shops for food and the area seems really quiet. You do have to carry your bags round the back of the apartment but it isn't too far. It took us a while to get the hang of the shower but the owner helped quickly, could do with an air extraction unit so you don't have to have the window open and I can see how climbing in and out the bath might present a problem for some people, the fridge door doesn't close automatically so we fell foul of that but that's our fault for not checking, just be aware of it. Other than that, a lovely place and we will definitely stay there again.

    Wonderful stay, we were welcomed with a bottle of wine and a personal note. Kitchen was well equipped. Bed was amazing. Loved it.

    This was our first visit to Alnwick and the first time we had rented an apartment and we were delighted with both. The facilities in the apartment were excellent, with loads of little extras to make our stay more comfortable. The location was very good, walking distance to Alnwick and to the supermarkets. There was lots of information provided by the owners which was very helpful to newcomers to the area. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will be coming back.
