    Value for money

The coach house was a quaint little place in the middle of nowhere, within a 20 minute walk to the nearest village. Outside it’s picturesque and beautiful, it’s virtually faultless apart from it being a dog friendly venue that doesn’t have a secure area for dogs to be off their lead, which we were disappointed at, but didn’t hinder us. The inside was nice, it was a dated and in need of modernisation, especially since it’s a holiday venue. It’s had clearly been cleaned between peoples visits, but we felt that it was in desperate need of a deep clean as there were issues we found. Spider webs in fairly obvious places and behind the beds, stained sofas and curtains, dirt around the edges of the hot tub that could do with a scrub and dirty windows. I freshen up would do the world of good there. The host/landlady was very nice and helpful and just over the road incase of any issues, which was nice. The rules about dogs was a bit farfetched in our opinion, no dogs upstairs or in the bedrooms, the only place the dog could be was the kitchen of conservatory. The lounge is upstairs where we’d sit all together regularly and had to use a suitcase to block the stairway to abide by the house rules. The worst part of the house was the awful single beds! I’m a bigger guy and I’ve never been nervous in a bed until now. We’ve never heard a bed creek so much! I was scared I was going to break it. One night I moved in bed and 3 slats came out and nearly gave me a heart attack! The slats are worn and need replacing. Other than that, it’s was great value for money.

It was a lovely relaxing, peaceful break. Everything was there you could need. Nice touch by our hosts was wine and cookies on arrival. Our host was friendly and helpful. And informative about where to eat etc..... Loved the wildlife. And family liked walking to see the pigs. And then there was the lovely hot tub. The area was great too lots to see and do. Thank you very much.

Spacious accommodation with large well maintained garden and benefit of hot tub. Good location fro exploring nearby canal network, Chester, Shrewsbury as well as North Wales. Busy market town of Oswestry only a few miles to the north of the property. At the time of our 6-person visit there were only 5 dining room chairs and although it was explained that the missing chair was away for repair, I think that a temporary replacement should have been provided. 6 people = equipment and furniture for 6 people - we were paying top high season rates after all. Overall, the property was comfortable and spacious and we had ca very enjoyable holiday.

Fab cottage. We didn’t venture out, was a relaxing girl weekend, so can’t comment on location/amenities. Had all we needed at the cottage. Hot tub was great. We all had an amazing time. The owner left us alone, unless we needed her, then she was at hand. Thee only ‘negative’ comment, and then it’s just an observation, is the twin beds squeak squeak squeak a lot. My friends say they woke each other up when moving. Overall though 10/10. Thank you.

We have stayed at the coach house several times and have really enjoyed it each time. Good facilities, equipment and versatile accommodation for a group of friends. Plenty of local walks and activities nearby but also well positioned to travel to other attractions.Amanda and Graeme are extremely friendly and helpful. Please fill in the other potholes in the drive!!

A fabulous cottage and lovely owners. Met every expectation and more. Superb in all respects.

Excellent stay, the house was really great value for money and huge. The hot tub was also huge! Hosts very friendly and welcoming, and made us feel immediately at ease. We were able to visit their pet pigs, horses and chickens as and when we wanted, which my 3 year old son really enjoyed. He also appreciated the children's toys in the property, and me and my husband really appreciated the cake, fizz and flowers left by the hosts. Would definitely go back, this house really was great value for money.

The cottage is quite spacious and very comfortable and well equipped. The hot tub is of a very high standard and was topped up every day by our host. It is no longer inside a shed but we did not find that a problem. It was lovely to be out under the stars and was in quite a sheltered spot. Our party of four adults and two children all enjoyed it a lot. The owners' farmhouse was just across the back but that was not a problem either. They were there if we had any questions. The owner was very kind and helpful and we enjoyed the unexpected flowers, food and wine left for us on arrival. She recommended a place for Sunday carvery which was great and gave us other recommendations on the area. You can walk to the village along the old railway in about 20 minutes. The Coach House is in a lovely quiet area and we would all like to stay there again.

We had such a lovely weekend staying at the coach house. It was so well equipped and we spent most of the weekend around the cottage and the two boys loved going to see Gemini the Shetland pony and feeding the 3 pigs. And the cake, wine and flowers on arrival was just perfect! Thank you!
