Lovely cottage. Everything had been well thought through and provided for. Vehicle access to back is very tight.

The cottage is in a beautiful setting with beautiful local walks.

the best equiped cottage i have stayed in, fantastic location, views of the fells outside the window are awesome! loved watching the birds on the bird feeder and owner had left some binoculars to use which was lovely, there is a small postoffice/general store next door where you can get the essentials but other than that you have to travel out some way to get anything else, but being in such a great location is worth it!! will definitely be back soon

From the moment we woke up on our first day at The Cottage, it was perfect! The Duddon valley has a peaceful and unspoilt quality and there are lovely walks from the village. David and Shelagh the owners were next door and were great neighbours for the week. The cottage is very comfy and welcoming with everything we needed, including a log fire for the evening. We even had a fabulous week of weather!

A great spot and the owners were very welcoming and answered questions informatively. Beautiful location in the hills and away from it all. Cottage is very cosy and is fully equipped with everything you need. Games barn was a great addition and really good fun. Area is perfect for exploring, local post office has the small bits and bobs that you need, shopping is a bit further away and be prepared to travel slowly!! (you wont mind as the views are incredible). Shower room upstairs was a bit disappointing as the plastic shower cubicle is a bit tight and water flow is poor, there is a bath downstairs. Loads to do in the Lakes and I can not wait to return

We all had a wonderful time, the cottage is remote, missdle of almost nowhere, so peaceful, quiet, it is larger than expected and 3 bedrooms 2 near each other and 1 on the other side of the house, 2 bathrooms and a small but ok kitchen with everything included and a small untility room with washing machine etc, downstairs bathroom and seperate toilet, enclosed back yard and enclosed front gardens, wonderful for sitting in in summer, everything is here, a 2 and a 3 seater sofa and a small table for coffee is found by the coat hangers, the cottage has just had a new boiler and we found it very warm, had to turn it down if anything. we had 2 small dogs, who loved it and were happy with the walks and grounds , games and puzzels all in a large box , small tv butit was fine, and phone line, there is no mobile signal there at all, but fast wifi. I gave it a 10, we had no complaints, i would say that the mattress on the double bed needs to be replaced soon, it did squeek a lot, but when 2 people we on it it was fine, we would return again 100%

We had a lovely stay at the cottage over New Year, the weather was beautiful and the scenery just stunning. The cottage is very well equipped, the stair gate was very welcomed to contain our inquisitive dog and the large variety of DVDs and board games were a nice extra. The cottage was more spacious (and modern) than we had expected and we made good use of the open fire. It is in a remote location (the nearest pub was a 10 minute drive) but this just added to the experience for us. The post office shop had all the necessities and being able to walk out of the frount door and straight into the woods or down to the river with the kids and dog was just fantastic. We would highly recommend this place and hope to be back soon.

the cottage was warm and cosy when we arrived. It was tastefully decorated for our Christmas break. The valley is very quiet and peaceful. just the place for the Christmas break to get away from it all.

Really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It’s in a lovely rural location and had everything you need. Very comfortable and cosy, a place to look forward to come back to after a day of walking and exploring the Lake District... can highly recommend it
