We had a brilliant stay at the Cottage in Ulpha. The location is beautiful and very peaceful. So many lovely local walks and close enough to Coniston for a bit of boating not to mention the wonderful fell walking. The river down the road near the bridge is a great spot too as is Devoke Water. David was good enough to call us when we arrived to check all was in order and clearly had made every effort to comply with the Covid guidance which was much appreciated. Unfortunately the shared games room was understandably not available due to the restrictions but we had so much fun that really didn’t matter to us. David also apologised for having to remove quite a few things from the Cottage but it still seemed really well equipped and better than many we have stayed in before without any restrictions. Nice touches like a welcome gift and logs in the fire ready to be lit were much appreciated. Also a plentiful supply of wood such that we had the fire on most evenings and didn’t have to buy more. Thanks for a lovely holiday!

Visited for a weekend. The cottage was everything we needs for a family of 4 and the welcome chocolate was much appreciated by the kids!

A well organised, cosy cottage in a great location for Grizedale Forest mountain biking, or walking or climbing nearby. Great service by the owners who kindly posted back to us a watch we'd left behind! Many thanks
