This beautiful cottage is found just on the outskirts of the popular market town of Penrith, ideally situated for exploring the delights of the historic town whilst also acting as the perfect base to explore the North Lakes and Eden Valley and North Pennines.
The owner has lovingly furnished each room to offer very good levels of comfort. On the first floor you have three great sized bedrooms with a family bathroom. The ground floor is home to the cosy living room with wood burner and Smart TV, dining area and kitchen with a separate utility room and ground floor toilet. The Drive also benefits from a front driveway and large rear lawned garden with outdoor seating.
Just a short 5-minute drive takes you to the heart of Penrith’s vibrant town centre which has an abundance of pubs serving great food and local cask ales, alongside all manner of eateries from bistros and fine dining to sandwich bars and fast food. The high street has a great range of shops including the usual brands but also many independent shops for a great shopping experience. Penrith is located on the eastern border of the Lake District National Park. If you like outdoor adventure you’ll love the scenery, walking and cycling routes, lakes and mountains nearby. Ullswater, with its famous steamers offers a great day out. If you have younger children, be sure to visit the Rheged Discovery Centre with children’s activities, outdoor play area and cinema, 4½ miles away. If you like a bit of heritage and culture, then a visit to Lowther Castle and gardens is a must. Shop, pub, and restaurant ½ mile.
