This cottage is lovely - cosy and very inviting. It is spacious and comfortable and the very friendly owners have clearly put a lot of thought into their visitors'comfort. Many thanks - we will be back.

Nice welcome with contact with the owners. Great place to get anywhere in Dorset. Comfortable cottage with all that we needed in terms of facilities.

The Elbow is a cosy, quaint cottage with everything you could need for a short stay. Jane and Peter were friendly, kind and helpful hosts. We had a lovely week with 2 children, there’s so much to do in Dorset.

We were so pleased to have chosen this cottage, and rate it amongst the best we have stayed in over the years. The Elbow has plenty of character and every facility you need, with a generous sized living/dining area, well equipped kitchen, lovely bedrooms with an en suite bathroom and lovely bath in the loft. We were greeted with a delicious Dorset apple cake, and whilst we saw little of the owners we got the impression if we had raised any difficulties they would have been dealt with straight away. The garden is great for enjoying with a drink, and little touches of artwork by the owners make the place more homely. A map is provided showing a number of local walks, which we greatly enjoyed. Although it has that 'in the country' feel, Dorchester is close enough by car for getting any supplies, whilst the cottage location means that Dorset attractions (such as Lyme Regis, Weymouth, Tank Museum, even Shaftsebury) are within easy reach. Anyone with young kids should give Kingston Maurward a try too, nice and close with plenty of cute animals. The Dorset scenery is stunning. In short we loved our stay!

The Elbow is a delightful place to stay. The rooms are spacious and airy, well decorated and the whole place feels well looked after. The owners live close by but are completely unobtrusive, only greeting us warmly on arrival and when we were leaving. There are some very nice walks locally which shouldn't tax you. We would be very happy to stay there again.
