The Gaffer is set in a building that was originally a pilchard cellar, and is just a short walk away from the river and harbour. Boscastle has a picturesque working harbour and a small selection of shops pubs and restaurants, and there are coastal walks from the doorstep to take in the breathtaking views across the Atlantic Ocean. A short drive away is Tintagel, the mythical home of King Arthur, and down the coast are the villages of Port Isaac (made famous by the TV series Doc Martin)
and Padstow with its array of shops, pubs and restaurants. Across the estuary is Rock, which offers a variety of the water sports. From Padstow, the Camel Trail is great for walking and cycling to Wadebridge and beyond to Bodmin. The sandy beach at Trebarwith Strand is 3 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
