Frolic in the heavenly garden, or feed the animals on the farm by day, and curl up in front of the wood burner in the cosy sitting room by night. The Hideaway is a stylish and elegant two bedroom luxury cottage in a pretty countryside setting.
The spacious open plan kitchen/dining room with original flagstone floors and underfloor heating has floor to ceiling windows and French doors to show off the every changing countryside that surrounds. Upstairs you’ll find a lovely master bedroom with four poster bed and those amazing views again. There is also a twin room and the family bathroom.
Even though completely set on its own for privacy, walk over the heath a couple of hundred yards and you will come to the farm that The Hideaway is part of. The unique thing about staying here is that there is a stunning recently renovated chill-out barn that is shared with a few glamping tents and another cottage. A great place to chill out, it has Sky TV, a library, games, a lounge and dining area, the all-important honesty bar, fire-place, farm shop and local award winning tea and coffee (and sometimes even cake!). The owners also offer anything from yummy daily breakfasts and communal dinners 3 times a week made from fresh farm produce. Well behaved dogs welcome!
Staying here you can expect a truly spectacular rural setting, off the beaten track, where the stars shine bright at night. Nestled at the foothills of the Black Mountains, only a stone’s throw from famous Hay-on-Wye and the Brecon Beacons National Park, so if you can manage to drag yourself away from the farm, there is plenty to do in the area.
