The Hoppings is a great getaway for families and friends in the centre of Filey, and has the added bonus of private parking and has been lovingly decorated to a good standard. Spanning three floors, this maisonette has a lovely conservatory to the rear of the property, leading out to the enclosed patio, ideal for an evening drink. Just across the road from the local shops and bank, and a short stroll to the beach, The Hoppings is ideally located. On the first floor there is a spacious living area and kitchen that leads out into the conservatory. The second floor has three spacious bedrooms, that boast beautiful oak furniture, a family bathroom and a separate shower room.
Filey is a traditional seaside resort, great for families with its wide sweeping beach that has won many awards. There is also donkeys and rock pooling to keep the children entertained. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within a short walk from the apartment, and if you fancy a show, there’s an open air theatre or the Spa entertainment venue in Scarborough.
The resort is at the end of the Cleveland Way, which finishes along Filey Brigg. The walk along the clifftops is wild and rugged, with views out to sea and lots of little coves to pop down to. The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is close by, where you will find thousands of migrating seabirds and can watch the comical puffins on the sides of the cliffs. Travelling north from Filey, you have the resorts of Scarborough and Whitby, and to the south, there’s Flamborough Head and Bridlington. All very different resorts but all of them are worth a visit. The vibrant city of York is less than an hour away, which is a beautiful medieval city with lots of history. Take a guided tour bus around the city or a leisurely cruise along the river. Beach 400 yards. Shop 50 yards, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
