Would give Excellent review all round but unfortunately there is no hot water coming from tap in bathroom. Cannot use sink for shave in morning. Everything else about this beautiful place is truly unique. Very tranquil place to relax away from it all .

Stunning location and a beautiful little cottage. Would have scored 10 for every thing but new armchairs would be ideal.

The cottage is much smaller front to back than the picture suggests. There is very little space. I went alone with minimal baggage and that was fine, but two people would have to be prepared to bump into each other a lot. There is no storage space. Nowhere really to unpack a suitcase into, including no wardrobe, though there is a convenient shelf and clothes hanger system. For such a small space the cottage is basically but well equipped. Security conscious city dwellers might be alarmed by the barn style front door with a security lock on the bottom but only a tiny bolt working the top part of the door. However, what the cottage is really all about is a particular holiday experience that has nothing to with luxury or comfort. It is in a beautiful setting that isn't so remote it isn't easy to access. I gave it an overall rating of ten because my week here offered absolute peace and time out from city life. Obviously what I'm saying here is very subjective, but I enjoyed a deeply restorative week. Lots of walking and cycling. If you like cycling that's off road but not too tough or challenging, take the National Cycle route 7 from Lochearnhead to Callander. It's beautiful. Look forward to returning.

A lovely little cottage in a peaceful location. Ideal if like us you just want to chill out for the week and enjoy the local wildlife and the lovely scenery in the area. Although small and fairly basic the cottage had a great feel to it and also had good WIFI should you need to use it.

We spent a lovely week staying at the Kennels and it was just perfect for our needs. We spent the days exploring the local area - some by car and some on foot. We also did some bird watching and looking at the huge diversity of plants, mosses and lichens. Great week.

Enjoyed our stay - well placed to explore the area with the option of walks straight from the cottage itself. Cosy little cottage with all the amenities for a week away walking and exploring the area. Well suited for the two of us, any more would be a tight squeeze. The cottage information and instructions could use updating as there was information in there that was out-dated and inaccurate it seemed. Otherwise we would happily return when we next visit, as the location was very peaceful, beautiful and convenient.

I've stayed here two years on the trot, it is a beautiful location and a quaint little cottage for the single traveler (like myself) or a couple. The wildlife around it is stunning and scenery on your doorstep is beautiful from the doorstep.
