The Lambs Pen is one of five converted cottages in a quiet area of Wimborne. Offering an open plan living space that is beautifully furnished throughout. The bedroom has a double bed and the bathroom with bath and shower over. The cottages benefit from a shared courtyard area and large wrap around garden, a great space for al fresco dining and enjoying the outdoors.
Wimborne Minster, to give this charming riverside market town its full name, is so named for the Church of England minster which stands at its centre. The historic Saxon abbey, with later additions, is famed for its chained library and the resting place of King Ethelred. The town stands at the confluence of the Stour and Allen rivers, the latter of which makes its tinkling presence felt as it meanders through the town centre. Also famed for it’s 1950’s model town, Wimborne offers visitors a charming base to explore the beauty of Dorset. The golden beaches of Sandbanks are just 7.5 miles away and Poole Harbour 5 miles away. Wimborne has many treasures on its own doorstep, including the National Trust’s palatial Kingston Lacy and its extensive gardens, nearby Badbury Rings, an Iron Age hill fort offering great walking and extensive rural views. Wimborne’s extensive food and drink is not confined to the many charming restaurants and pubs – it is complimented by an annual food and drink festival, a popular beer and cider festival and a very convivial Folk Festival, usually in June. The art deco Tivoli theatre also offers a vibrant selection of drama, music and stand-up comedy, so there is always plenty to see and do when you make a visit to Wimborne. Beach 7½ miles
