It lies just a short stroll from shops, restaurants, an indoor swimming pool and the famous Landmark Theatre arts and entertainment complex as well as the picturesque harbour showing Damien Hirst’s statue Verity. The unique Tunnels Beaches provide bathing areas with secluded beaches and pools, accessed through tunnels quarried beneath the cliffs, whilst the pretty cove of Hele Bay is a paradise of rock pools and sandy inlets for that perfect day out. Visitors can enjoy spectacular coastal walking from the door, and both horse riding and golf are available within 1 mile as are boat trips to Lundy Island and pleasure boat and fishing excursions along the dramatic coastline. Magnificent sandy beaches at Woolacombe, 5 miles, and Croyde, and the beautiful, evocative landscape of Exmoor National Park are under 15 minutes’ drive, whilst nearby attractions include Arlington Court National Trust, Watermouth Castle, a wildlife and dinosaur park and flower bedecked Barnstaple’s famous pannier markets.     We’ve just returned from a weeks stay in the leas and were so sad to leave! The house was literally a home away from home it was so well equipped and comfortable, and had the most amazing views ! We went with our 3 young children and apart from a day out at the wildlife park and clovelly we didn’t need to use our car at all as we walked everywhere. I can’t recommend this house enough and can’t wait to book again.

    A lovely stay with everything on your door step. Great location for walks to the harbour and many family attractions close by. A great pub at the top of the lane ( Thatched cottage ) and a nice swimming pool behind the property which is great for a rainy afternoon should you be aced with one. Property is very homely and welcoming. A lovely setting and a lovely holiday home. Highly recommended.
