    Situated close to both the harbour and the town centre, the property overlooks the harbour village in this popular, family friendly seaside town of Amble. The Lobster Pot is a comfortable base to explore all that Amble has to offer. This lovely terraced house is almost opposite the highly acclaimed ice cream parlour, and close to the now regenerated harbour, with a small seafood restaurant and pod style shops. The Sunday market is popular with both the locals and visitors. From the harbour you can take a puffin boat trip over to Coquet Island to see the RSPB bird sanctuary.
    The village of Warkworth, with its hillside castle, selection of cafes and pubs and a couple of bespoke small shops, should not be missed. For the enthusiastic walkers, there is a 2 mile walk around the local area. A few miles further down the road will take you to Alnwick, with the Dukes castle, featured in Downton Abbey, and used as part of Hogwarts in Harry Potter. The Duchess’ water gardens with spectacular grand cascade, and the worlds largest treehouse restaurant are well worth a visit. Amble is set on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and Heritage coastline with miles of golden beaches and unspoilt land, as well as plenty of cycle and footpaths. The property is ideally located for exploring the whole of this friendly county, with everything you need already on your doorstep. Days trips to the National Park or Hadrians Wall are easily accessible. Beach ½ mile. Shop 800 yards, pub 300 yards, restaurant 200 yards.

    This cottage is in a lovely location. The clock tower and main street on one side of the house and a view of the harbour on the other. It has a lovely welcoming feel as soon as you walk in through the front door and is very pleasantly decorayed. We really enjoyed our week there. It's very nice for the dog to be in the courtyard, watching the world go by and it's a stone's throw away from areas for dog walking.

    Despite the rain falling every day we had a lovely holiday in the cottage. The location is great for a quick trip to the shops or an evening crabbing at the harbour.

    Excellent property for dog owners enclosed yard and a large green area right outside back gate . In an excellent position. Owner first class service I realised on our return I'd left a coat she dealt with very efficiently .

    We enjoyed a great family weeks holiday. It’s a great holiday home, very comfortable and clean with a great enclosed garden for our dog. Lots of great extras in the house on arrival and the kids were delighted there was strong WiFi. The location is fab, the harbour area is lovely and the ice cream parlour magic. We had a busy week fishing from the pier, walking the amazing beaches and visits to Beamish Museum, Holy Island, Alnwick Castle. We are out in some great places both in Amble and elsewhere. It’s avgreat area and The Lobster Pot is a brilliant base. We will defo return.

    Lives up to the hype! The Lobster Pot and Amble were very good to us, we felt like locals for the week :) The cottage was spotless, spacious and full of character with the qwerkie seaside decor. The location could be more perfect! Step out the door on to the clock tower square with a lovely little garden. A few steps the other way and you are on the harbour with amazing views, boutique shops and fantastic restaurants. The cottage itself is very well thought out with the best facilities for a comfortable, relaxing stay. There were so many places to go in the area from fantastic beaches, castles, historic sites and shopping. We were so happy we chose the Lobster Pot and Amble for our stay, our dog loved it too! We really hope to go back soon :)
