A beautifully appointed cottage with everything we needed for a relaxing holiday.
We have been coming back to Mousehole for over 30 years, this is the best property we have stayed in, firstly for the views and then for the space and home from home feel. We WILL be booking again. A little suggestion.... a welcome pack would be much appreciated especially for guests arriving late as there are no shops open late in Mousehole to buy milk etc.
Beautiful location, amazing views and we had the best weather for the last week of September! Comfy apartment with good home comforts, the instructions said to bring towels and tea towels but they were provided! So we hauled them 400 miles for no reason! Other than that it was lovely and we would definitely stay again!
We’ve had the most amazing holiday and the location and facilities of The Lobster Pot were paramount to its success.
The downsides are trivial but have necessitated the downgrading of the Comfort and Equipment as a result.
1. The lack of information regarding location and parking. A map would be useful.
2. A comprehensive list of suggested items to bring would be useful. All we had was ‘bathtowels, tea towels etc...’ when in fact we needed all bathroom stuff: soap, loo rolls as well as kitchen necessities like washing up liquid, dishcloths, scourers, washing powder. (I appreciate stuff can be left by previous occupants but that could be worded into the welcome letter sent by the owner.
3. Although the fabulous apartment sleeps 6 there are only easy chairs sufficient for 4 people (and the settee dips in the middle, thus making it a bit precarious).
Having said all that, we absolutely loved being at the LobsterPot and are already planning our next visit.
The Lobster Pot is fabulous. Clean and well equipped and beautifully appointed.
The only issue we had was a lack of parking but this goes with the territory and was not a huge hassle.
If I was offering feedback, a way to turn off the towel rail in the main bathroom and soap dishes in the showers would make it absolutely perfect.
Contact with the caretaker was easy and pleasant.
All in all a very lovely place to stay and we would recommend it highly.
