Enjoyed a wonderful but very wet week in Warwick. The Lodge has everything you need. Very quiet location too.

Great tranquil setting but convenient for visiting plenty of attractions in Warwickshire and surrounding areas. We have stayed here previously and owners have now added Wi-Fi which was an unexpected bonus as it was not mentioned on website. The only 2 negatives were the sofa was very uncomfortable providing no back support and worn base springs and cushing's. Also when we went to use the oven the previous occupier had left it in a terrible state, this should have been checked prior to us taking over, I feel more effort and attention to the overall cleanness is required e.g. general dusting, wiping down surfaces and cleaning fridge shelves. However this did not spoil our overall weeks holiday and would still recommend this if the above points were addressed.

Rang a few days before to arrange key collection and owner informed us that there were going to be some builders around but it shouldn't affect us. Was unhappy about this so rang again to clarify exactly what was going on - owner said builders were only moving some earth around and work would be finished by the Friday we were due to arrive. When we arrived it was obvious work still going on - in fact builders said they were there for a good few months more. During the week we couldn't use the outside seating area because of the noise and had a view of a portable toilet! We had builders and machinery passing directly past our kitchen/diner window. We eventually received acceptable compensation from the owners but there was an atmosphere for the rest of the week as they blanked us whenever we passed whilst coming and going. Was not a relaxing week and in our opinion the cottage should not be let until the building works have finished.

An excellent cottage in an ideal location; kept to a very high specification. Ideally situated to radius out and around the Warwickshire county. Made very welcome and a friendly contact throughout our stay. Thoroughly recommended.

A lovely clean, well equipped cottage in a rural location and despite negative temperatures at the end of January it was very comfortable and warm. Located in an area steeped in English history and lovely rolling countryside. The local village is a mile distant but, due to the nature of the connecting road, it is unrealistic to assume it is safe to walk. Wi-Fi in the cottage has recently been upgraded and worked well.
