Gorgeous! Perfect for us and the dogs. The only negative comment would be that the window cleaner should clean the windows when there are no guests there, I.e Friday mornings , changeover day. Thanks anyway. Pam& Mike

Lodge cottage is a lovely cosy cottage in a very secluded setting. It has all the creature comforts and a well stocked kitchen. There is no phone signal but there is a free phone line if needed plus wifi. There are lovely little villages within a 10min drive with bakery and grocery shop and Malton and York are in easy reach. Owners are great to correspond with if needed.

The house is nice but the furniture in the living room could do with updating as it's all old wooden stands and bureau's, also the one and only TV is very small. The built in wardrobes in the upstairs double bedroom are very old fashioned. We stayed at this house Nov 2017 and paid considerably less for it than we paid for the same 2 weeks this year, when you consider that no new work/furnishings had been added (the newish bathroom was there last years holiday), I wonder why we paid so much more this year. The heating in the house isn't very good (even though we turned it down as it's meant to warm the house up quicker), I cant say we noticed a difference in temperature by doing this, even though we tried lots of difference temperatures ranging from 17-23. I think the house would benefit from having a tumble dryer especially when there were no pegs for the clothes line. The garden is fantastic but obviously in November you don't get to use it as much as you would like due to the weather, and considering all the above mentioned points I think the house is overpriced for this time of year.
