Peacefully located, overlooking the fishing lakes at Star Carr, this spacious, semi-detached lodge is perfect for those interested in fishing. Catch and release coarse fishing is available on-site with 6 acres of water over three lakes on an 11-acre site. Tench and bream can be found here and access to these are from dawn to dusk. Close by there are facilities for clay shooting and jet skiing. The property is well equipped, with a bike store and plenty of private parking with CCTV (please note that towels and tea towels are not provided). A short walk leads to Hainsworth Park Golf Course where visitors can enjoy pay as you go golf and a warm welcome in the clubhouse and bar. Shops, pubs and restaurants are around a 10-minute walk away. Brandesburton and Leven have a range of amenities, including a shop, fish and chip shop, pizza restaurant and a choice of pubs. The coastal resorts of Hornsea, just 6 miles away, and Bridlington, just 14 miles away, provide traditional seaside fun, and Fraisthorpe beach is popular for kite-surfing. Birdwatchers can enjoy visits to Hornsea Mere, Spurn Point and RSPB Bempton, and the stately homes of Burton Constable, Sewerby Hall and Burton Agnes Hall all offer interesting days out. The charming market town of Beverley with its 13th-century Minster and renowned racecourse is just a 15-minute drive away, and the cobbled streets are lined with interesting shops, cafés and restaurants. The scenic countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds which inspired the famous Hockney paintings, is a popular area for ramblers and cyclists, and the Tour de Yorkshire also passes nearby.
