The Manor House is ideal for couples and families who value peace and quiet but at the same time like having lots to see and do within easy reach. Located on the outskirts of the pretty village of Churchtown, next to the owner’s home, this detached home enjoys a quiet rural location. It is one of only a few places in the UK where you can see red squirrels and they are regular visitors to the enclosed rear garden. The village of Churchtown which is approximately 1 mile away from the property offers a good range of amenities, including mini market, bakery, pharmacy, golf club and Botanic gardens with a lake, café, children’s play area, mini golf and aviary.
Southport, 2½ miles away, with its many attractions including, the second longest pier in the UK, great shopping, good selection of cafes and restaurants, and also has art gallery, theatre, cinema, bowling, model railway and Splashworld indoor waterpark. Ideal for building sandcastles, flying a kite, Southport attracts many varieties of bird life, flora and fauna. The neighbouring beach Ainsdale has large famous sand dunes with nature trails. Bird and animal lovers will also enjoy a trip to the Wildlife and Wetlands Trust at Martin Mere, 8 miles, with its bird sanctuary, otters and children’s play area.
There are some lovely walks in the area and as much of the area is flat it’s also ideal for cycling. There are several golf courses in the area including Southport Old Links, 700 yards, and the Royal Birkdale, only 5 mile away, which will host the Open Golf Tournament in 2017.
