This property has everything you need for a really comfortable stay and all the fabrics and furnishings are to a high standard. Do not be downhearted when you first arrive as to be truthful it is one of a large group of houses, with no kerb appeal, on what looks like our local council estate. However, these seem to be mostly holiday houses/bungalows so were unoccupied. Once inside it is a different story. The house is beautifully decorated by the artist owner and is so cosy and comfortable, the bed in particular. The NSH are on all the time and there was loads of really hot water. All the equipment you could need was provided but no towels? (The first time we have come across this in 30 years, seems strange) However you are told this on the website. There is a heated towel rail in the bathroom that we kept boosting to dry things. There is a line outside also. The patio doors in the main bedroom lead onto a lovely balcony with BBQ and chairs/table and then down a few wooden steps there is a small garden, all enclosed and private as it backs on to a small lane. Lots of lovely trees and shrubs and catches the sun in the afternoon and beautiful sunsets in the evening. There are chairs at the front too for the morning sun but obviously there is an ‘estate’ feel at the front. The settee is the modern kind with a wooden frame and I notice some complained it was not comfy but we thought it was fine. It is not the squishy type of seat pads perhaps? Plenty of beautiful cushions and paintings on the wall by the owner also. We had a really wonderful stay and it is one of the few places that we would return to as it is so well situated for the coast , beach walks/ seal watching (15 mins) or Norwich (55 mins) and plenty of local houses and historic sites to visit within an hours drive. If you are staying in there is a radio/dvd player, lots of games, books, jigsaws and a small screen Freeview TV. There is no fireplace but we took with us a DVD of a blazing log fire that we played though the TV! All in all the place has a relaxing feel to it ,it was so quiet and with no light pollution had ‘dark skies’ for viewing the stars. The lovely owner even left a gift and card as we had gone for my husbands birthday. The only downsides were the lack of towels and the parking which is at the top of the street not in front of the property but not a big problem.
