A small but well maintained quality appointed cottage, the only adverse comment is that the sofa(bed) is uncomfortable, though there are two chairs available. Ample parking space though the access road/parking area is ‘unmade’. For those with dogs a small grass field is next to the car park area but there are narrow footpaths for longer walks. A rural location but only a short distance from the coastal road. Overall well worth consideration for a visit to Norfolk.

We had a good stay at the cottage but my comments on possible improvements are: - one of the main reasons we chose The May Tree was that it is a bungalow and therefore accessible for my mum. Unfortunately, there are 2 steep steps up to the front door - these need to have a rail on at least 1 side to make them safer. It is not clear from the photos on the website what the steps are like. - it would have been useful to have more information perhaps a folder with useful information in it such as the nearest shop, post office, garage, supermarket, doctors, vets etc. Also some information about local pubs, restaurants etc and also local walks. - we found the sofa and chairs uncomfortable.

Really nice base for a holiday in North Norfolk. The only disappointment was that the village pub has closed.

We had a lovely stay at The May Tree and we’d recommend it to anyone. Situated in a small rural village, quiet location and excellently situated to reach the coast with out being in the coastal traffic. Shops/ places to eat are about 15 min drive which we didn’t mind.

The cottage was average. The plus points were the cleanliness and comfort of the beds. On the flip side, it was very small. It was is a good state of repair apart from the fact that the kitchen had slightly old appliances with only a small fridge and separate small freezer. Sofa in the lounge was uncomfortable. The village was lovely with good play facilities for children and a big field or bridleway to walk the dog. Big issue was the local pub had closed very recently so no meals out unless you got in the car.

Lovley place, clean and cosy. Not a lot to do for young children but I loved exploring the place with my dog.
