Sea Golf Lodge is a charming wood-clad single-storey lodge situated close to the edge of the sea in the heart of the Black Isle. This immaculately presented, self-contained lodge is small but beautifully formed and ideal for couples and singles alike. It is situated in the pretty garden grounds of the owner’s house in the renowned seaboard village of Fortrose, famous for its historic cathedral and for dolphins.
The main living area has good quality twin beds either side of the room. There is a dining table and comfortable seating for two. The separate kitchen is small but well equipped. Adjoining this is a bright modern shower room. Sea Golf Lodge is certainly well named, being literally a few yards from the renowned Fortrose golf course; a gate leads from the garden directly onto the golf course. So just a few steps away from a round, or just enjoy the hospitality of the excellent restaurant and bar, and only a short walk home! In the other direction is the sea. It is just a few steps to the wonderful bay where dolphins are frequently spotted close to shore. The lodge has its own separate patio area, with outdoor dining furniture, for visitor’s sole use.
Sea Golf Lodge is ideally located for exploring this delightful corner of the Scottish Highlands. Just a few yards from the property is Chanonry Point, famous as the best vantage point on the Black Isle to spot the wonderful bottle nose dolphins that are resident in the Moray Firth. Fortrose also has a pretty harbour and beach, with a variety of water sports on offer. The villages dotted along this pretty coastline provide plenty of scenic drives, with lots of historic and cultural interest. There are numerous outdoor activities in the area. As well as golf there is mountain biking, hill walking, fishing, climbing, sailing and kayaking, to name but a few. Inverness, the capital city of the Highlands is just 20 minutes’ drive away, or there is also a regular bus service from the village. There are numerous pubs, cafés and restaurants in Fortrose and the nearby villages. Beach 50 yards. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 50 yards.
