This Dutch style cottage is positioned in well-kept gardens and would suit either a young family or couples who want a break. Due to its excellent location it is close enough to the town to walk but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the high street. Every aspect of the house offers beautiful views - to the rear of the property the sea to the front views of the surrounding hills. This house will afford anyone an excellent well equipped home from home situated perfectly to explore the east Devon environment and beyond. Step back in time and enjoy a magical vista of sea beaches and the only natural World Heritage designated site in England. Enjoy the most breathtaking views from the South West Coastal Path or simply unwind. Seaton is a beautiful small town at the mouth of the Axe Valley. Its unique tramway runs inland along the Axe Estuary to the medieval market town of Colyton and is perfect for birdwatchers transport enthusiasts or those who simply want to watch the beautiful riverside scenery glide by. Next to the tramway is the Seaton Marshes Nature Reserve. The installation of a viewing hide and wheelchair-friendly paths means this beautiful area and its wildlife - wildfowl and wading birds in winter dragonflies and butterflies in summer - are now easily accessible all year round. Very nice house for a quick week away.

Well equipped and a good location, clean, warm but not cosy. Could be greatly improved by having curtains in the lounge. The garden needs tidying and improving - described as mature but in reality overgrown. Good for dogs.

Having lived in Cornwall for 32 years we have had a few breaks in north Cornwall, so we felt it was about time we did the south coast and Devon We have never been to Seaton so on the first visit we could not have picked a better place...We love the property rooms are big enough for us 2 plus 2 Jack Russell's garden well-fenced views are to the sea one side and hills the other. Its location being just a brisk 10 minutes ( 15 with dogs) from the promenade and beach area, local shops and cafes are there to have good quality food at reasonable prices..bus routes take you to Lyme Regis, Beer and Exeter and many other locations..so much more to explore and so we will be returning at the end of the season, recomended yes

This is a beautiful house in a superb location. Sadly it needs a deep clean, updating and of course TLC. The cleaner obviously tries her or his best in the allotted time. Bathrooms and kitchen quite clean. Beds comfortable. Bottle of wine appreciated. I had a problem with the heating but on talking to the owner, he was extremely helpful. I feel the heating system needs updating as it was struggling. No curtains in the lounge and no blinds in bathrooms or kitchen, this made for a very cold house at this time of year. Needs a new lounge suite. I definitely would stay again if these problems were attended to.

The Cottage overall needs a bit of TLC / Update. There were areas that were not very clean due to no regular maintenance having been undertaken for some time. People mentioned no curtains and blinds in the lounge. Once there and the night time came you could see why. What with the wooden floors and no blinds the living room echoed from the slightest sound and the light caused a glare which was quite uncomfortable. On a plus side the TV being a smart TV was pretty good addition Our biggest problem was the building work next door a previous review mentioned this back in August but we did think they would have finished by the time we arrived in November. I am not sure who is responsible for letting potential clients know at the time of booking. Had we known then we would not have booked because of our 2 dogs and the disturbance involved. Its a bit unfair to turn up and find it happening when you can't do anything about it. This is not the owners fault but someone should take responsibility to advise potential clients at the time of booking so they are aware. The shower doors kept falling off which was a bit difficult whilst in mid flow. The Garden is secure but the grass is long so it was really hard to clear up after your dog. There was also no where to walk your dog as a comfort walk other than the street, no park nearby or large grassed area. The cottage is approx 10 min walk to the town and sits on quite a steep hill. Not very good for anyone with mobility issues. The beaches are also made of pebbles which is not easy to walk on or for your dog.

We had an extremely relaxing break. The cottage is warm and welcoming and fitted with everything you need. Its in a great location to explore.

    Happy holiday enjoyed by all.

    Really enjoyed our stay x

    out of 10

Property was very nice well maintained and had a lovely enclosed garden for the dog, however this was spoilt due to constant building works next door between 8-5 so couldn't sit out there in the day, this was omitted from the booking details which for us was important. The property however had everything we needed and was good for neighbouring towns to visit.

Boring town but perfect located for daily excursions. The house and garden suited us perfect since we brought our dog with us to England.

    out of 10

Dog friendly small house, but a little unloved, weak front door and lock, tiny shower room, curtains don't draw closed, falling down, builders next door but not really a disturbance
