On the site of a medieval chapel an incumbant is recorded as early as 1355 with the owners’ living on-site with shared entrance the present church was designed by Thomas Farnolls Pritchard and is of sufficient architectural merit that it was included in the guides of the architectural historian Sir Nikolaus Pevsner. Situated in the quiet hamlet of Hopton Cangeford in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty this professionally converted nave of a 1766 Grade II listed church still has many of the original features such as squire’s pews oak dado panelling font and pulpit. The mix of 21st century décor and facilities such as flat screen TVs in both the living room and bedroom a fully fitted kitchen with hand-painted tiles and underfloor heating blends effortlessly with the original stain glass windows and architecture.
