We (2 adults 1 dog) spent a week at The Old Coach House in early September and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cottage was superbly presented in all areas. The Kitchen is so well equipped it was like home from home. The ground floor bathroom off the double bedroom had a toilet, sink, and walk-in electric shower. The loft bedroom also has a small wc and sink. The spiral staircase is more suitable for older children, not toddlers. The Duke of York pub just across the village green is very traditional and welcoming and serves a selection of cask ale beers and great food.

Relaxing holiday, just make a note to yourself that if you are taking a dog there is no garden, my dog needs a wee early in the morning so means getting dressed or walking on the village green in your dressing gown! Quaint little village, there is only a small pub in the hamlet. Dog walking isn’t great there’s a Tarkka trail along side the cottage but it’s not that exciting and we got chased by the farmers 2 Labradors further down the lane which was a bit scary. You need to jump in the car and drive to good dog walking areas otherwise it’s roadside walking in the village. Lovely hamper left for us with wine, nibbles and dog treats. Clean and welcoming, would have liked some logs or spare coal, even if we had to pay for it , as it meant a car ride trying to find some locally. Overall we enjoyed the peace and quiet and the comfort of the cottage.

Fantastic away from it all bolthole. Very welcoming local community and excellent village pub serving superb food. Cottage had all facilities needed and plenty of space. Immaculately presented. Obviously a lot of thought has gone into making it a wonderful holiday base.

Fantastic cottage just think the hob needs updating as had a slight problem with that. Lovely welcome basket and lots of local information and local pub 50 yards away and everyone so friendly. Would definitely recommend.
