Excellent holiday, on arrival a nice little packup of Milk, tea and biscuits was waiting along with 2 bottles of Cider chilling in the fridge. The cottage was quiet, clean, tidy and warm, with under floor heating and contained everthing you needed to survive for 5 days. Quite a few pubs nearby, the one in the village 5 minute walk and served good food. The owner thought of everything, it rained all the time but brollies where in the cottage, kept us dry on trips out. The info folder was handy to plan trips out. Overall excellent holiday despite the rain and would visit again.

We had a lovely time in Thorndon. The cottage is centrally located in terms of visiting a variety of places. It is very quiet with plenty of space and well equipped. We would recommend it without reservation.

A delightful place for a quiet get away. Good, caring but not intrusive owners. Warm and comfortable whatever the weather and with paving and gravel outside which helps not to bring lots of mud indoors if you happen to have a long haired dog like mine.

Recently spent a long weekend at this property, i found the old cow shed to be somewhat rustic and with lots of character ... the owners were more than welcoming, and even though the property was quite close to there residents you wouldnt know this. the property was well equiped and very pleasant. our dog enjoyed his stay at this property, with lots of walks, and owners being very dog friendly ...

The Old Cow Shed is a real homely gem, it has all the cosy comforts you’d expect from a holiday home. The cottage is exceptionally quiet and well located for touring the Suffolk countryside. The owners are attentive without being intrusive and the welcome hamper was a nice touch.

My husband, 4 month old and I all enjoyed our stay at The Old Cow Shed. The cottage is cosy and comfortable and had everything we needed. It was a bit of a drive to get anywhere but we liked that and enjoyed the country roads. We'd recommend and would stay here again.
