Excellent cottage which has been finished and equipped to a very high standard. Everything you require and more for a lovely relaxing holiday. Hardly used the heating as it was very cosy. Very central location for exploring in all directions. Would definitely recommend.

Very comfortable. A lovely quiet base, surrounded by wonderful scenery, lots of pleasant walks from the door and within driving distance of Hadrian’s Wall, Yorkshire Dales, Lake District and Eden Valley. Alston, 2 miles away is an interesting old market town with a steam railway and transport museum as well. Lots of interesting lead mining and Roman history nearby.

We had a lovely stay at The Old Dairy. It was cosy and clean, with everything we needed already in the kitchen, with some additional thoughtful touches. A great base to explore the area.

The cottages was everything and more just what we wanted a nice relax with a beautiful outlook on to a well kept garden. Delia was very friendly when we arrived lots of information in the cottages regarding places to visit in the near by area. Alston train station very quaint not much happening in Alston but nice to see. Brampton was a very nice town not far away about 18 miles a must see. Would recommend to anybody for a nice chill with lots of walking to clear the mind. Again thank you very much you must be doing something right as lots of quests have put in you book they would come back again. The same goes for Me and my Sister

the old dairy is a beautifully presented property with most of what you need for our stay, the owners were extremely helpful and very friendly. the only criticism I would make is that the heating is a bit hit and miss
