A beautifully appointed apartment in the centre of the town. In view of the location a degree of traffic noise is often present however we could not have been made more welcome by the owners and had every conceivable amenity at hand.

My husband, daughter (adult) and I spent three very comfortable nights in the apartment 1 which is very airy and spacious. Bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms are gorgeous. The beds are so clean and comfortable. The extra toilet in the entrance was very handy, too. Everything was excellent, spotlessly clean and very high standard. Please note here that I am very particular in cleanliness. So, there isn't a single negative comment to leave here. Nice and thoughtful touch of welcoming cake and milk from the owner on the day of arrival, too. The beautiful Pavilion Gardens is just a stroll away. Chatworth House which is really wort a visit is only 25 minutes away by car. My daughter had to travel to Sheffield from there by train which station was very close by. We were very happy with everything and enjoyed our extended weekend holiday in Buxton. If I could request the owner one little thing, I would say a toilet brush in bathrooms would be good. Thank you for everything.

This is a delighful apartment, extremely well-equipped, spacious, comfortable and stylish. It is in the centre of town, easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, opera house, cinema. Buxton is very well placed for exploring Derbyshire. We went for several excellent hikes and enjoyed coming back to the comfort of the apartment. There is a great selection of books and DVDs to borrow. Mike was welcoming and helpful and took trouble to make sure we had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this apartment for a short break or a longer holiday.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay in The Old Post Office over New Year and can heartily recommend it as a base for exploring the Peak District. Max and Mike made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and couldn’t have done more to help when we needed it. The apartment is stunning having only been fitted out mid-2018 and everything is to a very high standard. The rooms are large, the beds comfortable, and the kitchen very well equipped. Buxton is always a delight - summer or winter - and the location of the Post Office means it’s an easy choice either to eat in (Waitrose and M&S just a couple of hundred metres away) or eat in one of the many restaurants or pubs within a short radius. There are plenty of interesting walks that can be taken around Buxton without needing the car but within a twenty minute drive the starting points for more adventurous routes in stunning countryside become available. We would, without any reservations, recommend a stay here.

Beautiful apartment in central location. Attention to detail was evident with the colour schemes, furnishings and reference to the building's prior use as the old Post Office with original features. It was a delightful weekend shared with family and we have no hesitation in recommending the apartment to our family and friends. Mike and Maxine were perfect hosts who were extremely welcoming and in making our short break a lovely experience.

Marvellous flat, well fitted and a good base to explore Buxton and beyond. The hosts, Mike and Max were very helpful but never intrusive. If like us you have never visited this area before, this is the perfect flat to base yourself and whilst Buxton has good amenities, the train station around the corner takes you to Manchester in an hour and is well priced. Only being picky on scoring v.f.m. as 9 because I always want a bargain, but it is very good value for money. Overall we would highly recommend and a big thanks for a lovely stay.
