As soon as you step through the door. You are welcomed by fresh flowers on the table, fresh eggs and milk in the fridge for that much needed cupa. The rooms are bright, fresh and comfortable. With the outside enclosed garden area for you and yr dog, being very spacious. Views both front and back of open countryside and horses grazing. The stables offers a cosy and comfortable retreat, one which leaves you wanting to return. The stables are a credit to Lynn and bub the owners who I found to be both a warm and welcoming couple.

A very welcoming reception and ongoing friendly and helpful experience. Both of the hosts were the best we could wish for.

This was one of the most relaxing places we have stayed in. Our hosts were fantastic and could not do enough for you. The welcome pack went down a treat after a long drive, our dog Peggie even got some treats... lovely touch. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, you had every thing you needed for your stay. would highly recommend to stay here for any length of time, the peace and quite at night was excellent. local area very interesting lots to do and plenty of shops/pubs/restaurants only a short drive from the Coast and Walds. Do yourself a favour and book a stay her.

Lovely week in a clean, comfortable and well appointed cottage the couple who own it are on site and are genuine people who try to make your stay special and relaxing I would have no reservations in recommending The Old Stables to any of my friends.

This was perfect for us to explore the area

It was my first visit to Lincolnshire so I was not sure what to expect. Despite the flooding problems nearby, my holiday was not spoiled and the cottage was ideal for me. I was able to visit most of the places I had planned except NT's Gunby Hall where the car park and garden had flooded.

Restful and quiet. The kitchen in the cottage is not user friendly.

A lovrly, warm and comfortable cottage with everything you could possibly need. Owners are friendly and helpful but leave you to enjoy the peace and quiet. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Would recommend to anyone.

The hosts Bub and Lynn were very friendly and they could not do enough for you. The cottage was very comfortable and the view out of the lounge was perfect especially with the wildlife.

A very nice small cottage on a small equestrian farm. All you can wish for in a small village cottage. Querky kitchen with separate cooking and washing up areas. Brilliant friendly hosts nothing too much trouble. Good for pets. Would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay at The Old Stables We went to Lincolnshire house Hunting and Although we never found anything we liked, we loved chatting With Bubb and Lynne. The accommodation was so cozy and couldn’t believe how well equipped it was. The bed was so comfortable, shower really lovely and the welcome pack was such a surprise and very thoughtful We would strongly recommend The Old Stables, the beautiful horses and Shetland ponies were gorgeous too.

My partner and I booked this as a last minute, 3 night weekend break. The road upto the property was extremely bumpy full of pot holes and very dark at night. The property itself was very disappointing as was the location. There were no instructions on how to use any of the appliances including the heating, the boiler was extremely noisy. It was clean but very basic, the sofa was very old and needs updating, the bed was extremely hard and we both suffered with backache and didn’t sleep well. There were no local shops or amenities, you need a car to go anywhere and most of the pubs etc were closed. We tried to get a meal out on Sunday night but the places that were open (nothing local) didn’t serve food in the winter months. We finally found a lovely hotel and had an excellent meal there but had to travel 15 miles to find it.We didn’t find the owner particularly friendly. We will not be staying at this place again but will return to Lincolnshire itself.

Nice and quiet owners Lynne and Bub very very nice and informative.

This cottage was perfect for a short new year break away, we took our 17month old, who absolutely loved the cottage. Lynne let us meet all of the horses and ponies, they are delightful. It does feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, which is lovely. However, local supermarket is only a few miles away, which for us was perfect! Lots of nice beaches, walks close by. We took our two dogs, they loved the walks on the beach and dip in the sea. Gibraltar point close to Skegness is a hidden gem, beautiful area. The kitchen is a little awkward, however we still managed to cook dinners pretty stress free, it’s all part of the quirkness. Bedroom and living room very spacious. I’ve never stayed anywhere that was so clean! Owners were very friendly, they just let us get on with our stay, nothing was too much trouble for them. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone who likes the outdoors, has dogs, or young child.

The stables was very warm, comfortable and clean with plenty of outdoor space for our dog. The owners were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We were there over Christmas and the only downside was the kitchen layout was very awkward to work in. Despite this we would book again at some point.
