It's a very cute little place in a stunning location. Not much in the way of amenities until you get to Dunoon (about 20 mins drive) but if you like peace and quiet and your own lochside garden to sit in it can't be bettered.

A great holiday property in an amazing location, will definitely be returning. One thing to be aware of if you have a dog is that in some places the fence around the property is less than 1 metre high so you do need to keep a very close eye on your dog to make sure they haven't escaped! Also there is no fence toward the loch and it's a drop of about 2-3 metres onto rocks and the stoney beach.

Had a great time in the area especially for walks. Only disappointment was the local pubs had very restricted opening times, so we had to go further afield than we would have preferred on occasion.

We had a lovely and relaxing time at the old ticket office - felt very peaceful and such lovely views and outlook across the loch ! We saw the porpoises and the seal and the dogs enjoyed a good few paddles in the Loch !

Would highly recommend this holiday cottage. There is plenty to see and do. There are dolphins, porpoises, and a group of forces have also been seen. The area is so beautiful with Bluebells peeking out through the trees and mountains

The location of the Old Ticket Office is superb, with great views across Loch Long through the picture windows / French doors in the living room and bedroom. The accommodation is compact, but well-suited to a couple. There is underfloor heating to both living area and bedroom, and the temperature felt very comfortable. The building itself is very attractive, and was extensively restored and fitted-out to a high standard as a holiday let in 2005. It is still very pleasant, but there are some areas which are showing their age, which should ideally be addressed by the owner - most particularly the mattress of the double bed, which we did not find comfortable. Otherwise, the accommodation is very well equipped, with a kitchen that has a full oven/grill as well as hotplates, a dishwasher and a washer-drier. There is a fridge and a freezer, and plenty of pots and pans and other cooking utensils. The bathroom is en-suite to the bedroom, and heated by an electric towel rail; there is no bath, but an effective power-shower with a large enclosure. We would happily stay here again - even more happily if a new mattress is supplied!

Wonderful little cottage on the very edge of the loch with its own pier. Fully equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. Underfloor heating and log burner to keep you warm when needed. We will definitely be going again.
