Welcome pack. Large lawned garden with patio garden furniture and gas BBQ. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.\nThis single storey holiday cottage adjoins the owners’ home and is located in a peaceful cul-de-sac with glorious views over the vale and village. There is a private seating area in the garden from which to enjoy these views. It is just a short stroll to some local shops with a tea shop just 300 yards away and under a mile to two wonderful pubs one on the banks of the canal and one by a weir on the River Avon. Bathampton is a picturesque village and a delight for walkers – only 2 miles from the city of Bath where you can walk along the towpath or even catch a boat into the city. The nearby towpath is great for cycling and you can even store your bike in the cottage. In addition there is a twice hourly bus service into the city from Bathampton.\nBath is full of famous sights and attractions the sweeping crescents and Georgian architecture the Roman baths and modern thermal spa with rooftop pool the Abbey Pulteney Bridge the diverse and unique shopping and many museums galleries and cafés. In winter a visit to the Christmas market is a must. Within an hours drive you can visit the exciting and vibrant city of Bristol Cheddar Gorge and caves the small city of Wells and Glastonbury Abbey and Tor.     Although the view shown on the web site through the sitting room window is very good, the drive into the estate is not. It is what looks like a dated council estate and the road is very narrow in parts with cars parked both sides of the road. The bus stop into Bath is a short walk away which is very useful if you do not want to drive into Bath. The bed is very soft which did not suit us, the frying pan needs replacing

    The location was great, about 10 mins drive from Bath which has everything! Fantastic views from the back, great living room. However bedroom and bathroom were a bit cramped. Overall nice stay.

    A very comfortable holiday home, well equipped with very friendly and helpful owners living next door. Quiet and peaceful location with wonderful countryside views at the rear and an area for sitting out. Excellent location for visiting locality: Bath, Bristol, Bradford upon Avon etc. Walk into Bath along the canal or catch a boat in along the canal or river. Easy access to good bus service into the city or other places. Easy walk to local pubs (2) and the only shop in the village.

    Our stay was great. Very helpful and kind people. Very quiet and clean place and we were very pleased by the "sweets" which we found in the kitchen. We would definetly come again. Your Suggestion to walk along the canal to Bath was great and we walked several times. Thank you very much!

    The cottage, its location and the welcome we received were all excellent. Even the weather was exceptional! We visit the Cotswolds regularly for cycling and this has been the most perfect setting so far and the flexibility of start days and durations offered means that we will definitely hope to book in the near future again. Many thanks for a fantastic break!

    Cottage was amazing, would have liked to have seen Freeview channels especially in the winter months when it is too cold to venture out of an evening. Sadly local shops had closed, if details of how to get to the nearest shops could be included in the information booklet it would be handy to have known.

    Very comfortable. Great host, friendly, knowledgable about the area. Great kitchen for preparing meals, a basket of goodies on arrival was a nice touch. Short walk to the George Inn for great meals, which was right on the Tow Path for a stroll into Bath.

    Very well equipped base. Welcoming host. Location ideal for short bus ride into bath, or a canal side walk. Barn owl and deer in field below property were a bonus. Welcome pack was very nice. As has been stated in previous review the local village shop has closed, if you do not want to drive into Bath there is a Spar as part of the petrol station on the Warminster Road. The convenience for Bath was the main attraction for us. Would happily stay here again.

    Comfortable cottage everything you needed . Lovely views to the rear of the property . Used local bus service which was reliable about every 40 mins . Pity there wasn't a local shop to pick up a few provisions , although that is out of the hands of the owners who were lovely and very helpful . Nice welcome pack to.

    We had a good week at Paddock Annexe, and there is nothing at all wrong with the accommodation. The downside is its location in Bathampton. There are no local amenities in the way of shops, there are 3 shops at the end of the road but one is a hairdressers and the other two were shut up, and obviously not currently in use. The other disadvantage is that Bathampton has a toll bridge. Although the toll is only 80p it is a real bottleneck and any drive to the north means that you have to wait in long queues to cross the bridge. So sadly I have to say that I would not stay there again for those reasons.
