House and welcome excellent. Welcome starter pack appreciated including wines and beers, bread , milk, biscuits... nice touch. Could not fault river side setting though did not realise main road ran behind the house. Website still shows local pub serving meals but this ceased trading 3 months prior. This meant a drive to neighbouring villages which was OK as many excellent and well above average hostelries within 3 to 4 miles. All of Ayrshire’s magnificent attractions within easy reach with the fabulous full front balcony to sit out on literally over the River Ayr each morning and evening. Very enjoyable and fully recommend .

We were really disappointed with this holiday cottage It was a very last minute booking although this didn’t make any difference with the price The house is in real need of TLC is in a neglected state inside and out Only one shower was working The heating kept going off and we had to fire up the boiler. we had a 6 month old baby and a pensioner just out from hospital with pneumonia and pulmonary fibrosis No where to hang up a washing - we bought a clothes line and pegs ourselves to wash through towels or tumble dryer However we still managed to have a lovely week after we cleaned the cottage and then what really helped was the weather and location The lady who let us into the house was lovely and did try and help This could be a wonderful holiday home if the owners just cared about it We have had other places that we have paid a similar amount of money for and the standard was extremely higher Therefore it was not value for the money we paid I would not recommend this house until it has been completely renovated or bought over. Real shame Lovely little village Lovely people Lovely walks Real potential
