The Generals’ Quarters UKC2646 is named after a previous owners of the hall General Sir Robert and Charles Grant. Guests will be situated in the West Wing the oldest part of the hall constructed in 1549 but with beams dating back to the 1250s and the Hall’s Northern Range. The accommodation will be based on The Tudors and the late Georgian period. Guests will notice the two distinct periods as they move around the General’s Quarters and will be able to decide which period rooms they wish to sleep in. \n\nWindy Mundy Farm RNG has been converted from an 18th-century threshing barn and deer shelter and is located on an old deer park at the centre of the estate. The bespoke oak dining table offers a dining arrangement for 16 guests. Built on top of a south-facing hill overlooking Row Brook and part of a working arable farm it is surrounded by fields of wheat and barley and has spectacular far-reaching views towards the Shropshire hills. Enclosed by a long stone wall the farm has its own courtyard garden with a terrace and barbecue.\n\nStockbatch Granary RJ6 is reached by a mile-long drive passing through the mixed arable land of Stockbatch Farm with its fields of corn encircled by woodland. It comprises an 18th-century granary clapperboard barn stables and cowsheds and nestles on a south-facing slope at the bottom of which a stream wends its way gently along. A courtyard garden enclosed by a red sandstone wall provides a pleasant sitting-out area from which to survey the countryside views.\n\nTree House Barn RDDJ is a sensitively restored detached barn conversion which enjoys views of the world famous Pitchford Tree House the oldest tree house in the world.\n\nWithin 6 miles of each property is historic Shrewsbury with its fascinating architecture castle museums fine shops and wealth of traditional inns and restaurants. Easily accessible is popular Church Stretton and Shropshire’s finest town Ludlow framed by the gentle Clee Hills with its impressive castle magnificent church many half-timbered buildings and Georgian red-brick houses. Bridgnorth has what is reputed to be the steepest cliff railway in Britain and superb cliff-top walks overlooking the River Severn below. From here during summer the Severn Valley Railway’s steam train chugs the scenic 16-mile route to Kidderminster. Attingham Park National Trust Benthall Hall National Trust Ironbridge Gorge and the old market town of Much Wenlock with its medieval priory are all within easy driving distance. Riding sailing fishing golf pubs and restaurants locally.     The Granary is lovely with a well equipped kitchen, all bedrooms en-suite and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The farm track to the Granary is long and although made up with stone it is in need of a number of pot holes requiring filling. Although a wood burner stove is in the lounge we found the heating was warm enough so did not use it. There was a problem with the sound on the TV which, despite us reporting it to the agent, was not fixed during our week long stay.

    Very good indeed. The remoteness of the Granary makes it difficult to score Local Amenities highly; a very well laid out property, just what was required for our family weekend.

    The BBQ was left in an absolutely disgusting state, as it is advertised as a piece of equipment to use as part of the rental we would have expected it to have been left in a useable condition.

    We found that the Granary was perfect for our purpose. 9 adults and 6 children under 5. There was a homely feel to the place, comfortable and user friendly, with plenty of space for the children to play. We are already talking about the possibility of returning next year.

    We had a 40th celebration at this property with family coming from lots of different places. The accommodation was perfect, with a games room for the children, large dining table to eat around d and close to great walks. We’re already looking at booking again
