Nestled in the heart of the owner’s 140-acre beef and sheep farm, with a private fishing lake and in a lovely quiet location, this delightful single-storey, detached barn conversion is the ideal spot from which to explore the treasures of both counties. This holiday property is within easy reach of the sandy beaches on the north coast, including the excellent surfing beach of Widemouth Bay and the award-winning seaside town of Bude with its beaches and sea pool, shops, pubs and restaurants, only 8 miles away.The Round House takes its name from the hexagonal living room which has an original vaulted ceiling, and was originally built for the horse driven mill. The horses would have walked around a central drive wheel which was connected to a corn mill in the next building.The historic market town of Holsworthy is just 3 miles away, and has a good selection of local shops, supermarket, town amenities, golf club, indoor swimming pool and leisure centre, cafes and pubs. The village of Pyworthy with its popular village inn with restaurant is just 1 mile away.Guests are welcome to enjoy the 140-acres of farmland with a large pond and free fishing. The whole family can explore the countryside surrounding The Round House, with abundance of wildlife and wildflowers. For a family fun day out, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way adventure parks are not to be missed. Pretty fishing villages and spectacular beaches and coves are dotted all along this coastline from Padstow, Tintagel, Crackington Haven and Bude in Cornwall, to Westward Ho!, Clovelly and Instow in Devon. Golf, horse riding, fishing, surfing, mountain boarding, coastal and country walking, cycle trails, karting and high ropes are available locally and the wild beauty of Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin Moors are all within easy driving distance, as is the famous Eden Project. With so much to discover in this lovely part of North Devon, this is the perfect holiday destination. Beach 8 miles. Shop 2½ miles, pub and restaurant ¾ miles.

We (a couple) spent a week in September in the roundhouse. It was lovely, very clean and spacious. We had a very relaxing time. The fishing pond was excellent. Polly and Paul were extremely helpful and welcoming. We highly recommend this accommodation for a calm, happy holiday.

What a fabulous week in the Roundhouse it’s was great fun to stay on a working farm with such lovely hosts. Accomdation, scenery, location, facilities all perfect. Would highly recommend this cottage as a beautiful peaceful retreat to explore Devon & Cornwall. Thankyou for a wonderful holiday.

Stayed for a week with family, the cottage was perfect couldn't have asked for anything better, the hot tub was a welcome addition and used every day, the owners made us feel very welcome and even offered a tractor ride for my three year old granddaughter, would deffinately book again, good location for exploring devon and Cornwall.
