Set in 7 acres with its own private beach this exquisitely presented pine clad lodge is perfect in every way. Approached via a small but accessible country lane it offers quiet seclusion in a lovely natural setting. The main room runs the length of the cottage providing a stunning open plan sitting room dining area and kitchen. The windows look out across the sea and the surrounding hills and mountains. The double bedroom is superbly presented with coordinated soft furnishings and has the same amazing views. A cosy wood burning stove in the sitting room and the fresh smell of pine from the wood clad walls complete the picture. " https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/716/840/716301.jpg CC511129

Peace and solitude in a spectacular location. Cosy warm and clean, with a friendly host who was available if required but not interfering. We went in mid Jan when many (but not all) local cafes and restaurants were closed, but was all the better for being free of tourist hordes. Already planning a return visit.

We had a wonderful time at The Sheiling. A perfect escape in a wild highland setting: cosy, comfortable and with everything you could need if you wish to just get away. Anthony was wonderfully welcoming and very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

We chose this as our quiet spot for our honeymoon, just to chill and unwind . It was everything we hoped for. Not to much vsriety on the food stakes when we went out but if you dont mind a bit of cooking that was easy remedied . The beach was a 10min walk and on a nice day it would be perfect.

We had a holiday from heaven! The Sheiling was everything that we had hoped it would be. Comfy, cosy, charming, idyllic and welcoming. It’s remoteness might not appeal to everyone but for us it was perfect.

Amazing setting with everything you could need in the cottage.

Sat on top of a salmon fishfarm ,trout in the loch with parasite lice on them. Cleaning nets on the private beach and contaminating the estuary. Overpriced no spare linen and accepts no responsibility to anything happening to its customers. NO meet and greet and no farewell goodbye.....Will never return to the shielings. No marine wildlife and very few land wildlife only rabbits but these are deterred from garden

The Sheiling is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the view. It’s cosily furnished and has got everything you need. OK, there’s no dishwasher, but as the Sheiling is solely for two people, the dishes are easily done in the sink in no time... Anthony, our host, was great! He gave us a very warm welcome and provided us with information about local amenities and things to do. Even though he was away for the second half of our stay, he was always approachable, when we had any questions - not that we had that many: We had a really great time at the Sheiling, just sitting on the porch and enjoying the view. The house is located in a way, that you are totally by yourself, which was exactly what we were looking for. Nonetheless, by car you get to a tiny but well stocked shop in a few minutes and the stunning cliffs at Neist Point are only a good 15 minutes’ drive away.

Lovely cosy accommodation for two. Beautiful view of Dunvegan Loch and the hills beyond. Well equipped, comfortable bed. Well stocked general store in nearby Glendale.
