We honestly could not fault our stay at the Smithy. Everything was perfect and had everything we needed. We were supplied with local walks and restaurants which were beautiful! The grounds and the hot tub were perfect, and our dogs had a lovely space to run around in freely! We only wish we could've stayed longer...

Booked The Smithy for a weekend break with my mum and sisters. It was beautiful. Jayne was welcoming on arrival and the cottage was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. The hot tub and steam room were amazing!

We received a lovely warm welcome from the owners and the welcome basket had some really thoughtful touches like dog treats. The bedrooms were very spacious with lots of storage. However, we did find the kitchen area very cramped and felt that you would struggle to cook a proper meal for 4 people in it. The sofa was a bit grubby and uncomfortable and could do with being replaced. The biggest disappointment for us was the outside area. There is a small fenced garden area to exercise dogs in but it is not private and on one occasion the owner came in with his dogs off the lead without checking with us if that was OK. There is a decked area with hot tub for you to use but it is not private - you can be seen from the owners garden and the main road. It overlooks the back of the property which is a bit untidy and is right next to the owners dog runs where their 4 dogs are kept and who barked continuously every time we went outside! If you're looking for a relaxing break then I would suggest looking elsewhere but the Smithy was a good base to explore the area. We probably wouldn't return though.
The cottage was simply amazing. Everything we possibly needed was supplied. Jayne and Matt were so friendly and ever so welcoming.
This was the perfect place for an out of the city experience. Enjoying the countryside, it was so peaceful and relaxing. We both would love to visit again.
Couldn’t fault a thing. Absolutely perfect relaxing break for myself, my partner and my dog Cece. My dog hates other dogs sadly and Jane made sure her lovely dogs were kept apart from mine at all times so no dramas! Full use of the field to the side so my dog could exercise alone. Little touches that you won’t find anywhere else too like dog treats and bowls ready and waiting. Lights around hot tub, the shower was INSANE and everything so clean. 10/10.
Really lovely place, you are made to feel very welcome. Very spacious living space. Only down points are the fact you have to walk round to the hot tub and the kitchen space is very small so cooking is a bit difficult.
Had a wonderful weekend break - beautiful weather for it too so the hot tub was well appreciated. A couple of pubs just 3-5 minutes drive away. The holt fleet has a lovely garden on the river to eat/have a drink by. It’s less than a 20 minute drive into Worcester too. Some lovely walks around the area and generally just a great place to come for a chilled, relaxing holiday.
Loved this place felt like a posh hotel not what we expected on a working farm

Spotlessly clean. Kitchen area quite small, not much room for food storage and only a 2 burner hob. Don't forget flip flops cause you cannot get to the hot tub/ patio area without going around the house
Lovely place, an outside toilet near the hot tub would have been ideal as it was rather nippy getting out to go into the cottage to use the toilet, but we really couldn't find fault. The shower and steam room was amazing, never seen anything like it before apart from in a spa. The area was beautiful as well, great walks and country side and lovely pubs with gorgeous drinks and food. The owners were very pleasant and should we have needed anything I'm sure they would have helped. We didn't have any problems though. We would definitely go back.
Wonderful place , wonderful host lover our stay 5 star
Lovely hosts nothing was too much let our little one help out feeding the animals which he loved hot tub was amazing as was steam room
Cottage was lovely and cosey no complaints from us
Fantastic stay here last week, great friendly hosts who have thought of everything you need. Will recommend to friends and family.
Me and my girlfriend and out two boxers stayed for four nights. We all really loved it. You are close to a main A road so not very remote but this to us was not an issue. Be sure to visit wyre Forrest we loved it in there. Hot tub and steam room are fab. Going back next year.
