At the head of Loch Awe, Ben Cruachan offers hiking trails with panoramic views, while the shores of Loch Awe beckon those who appreciate serene waterfront strolls or wild swimming. Dalmally, Inveraray, Oban and Kilmartin Glen add cultural and historical richness to the experience. Dalmally is home to the striking Kilchurn Castle, a picturesque ruin on the northeastern edge of Loch Awe. The nearby Dalmally Railway Station, with its historic charm, is also worth a visit. For a day of cultural immersion, a trip to Inveraray, a charming town on the shores of Loch Fyne, is a must. Inveraray Castle, the ancestral home of the Duke of Argyll, offers a captivating journey through history and is surrounded by manicured gardens and the infamous Inveraray Jail.
