Please note The property has a natural water supply from a spring. Couples and family bookings only.\n This detached converted barn is nestled in a quiet and peaceful lane deep in the Cornish countryside. It is close to Padstow and some of the county’s best beaches. The Stable on St Jidgey Farm is quaintly decorated and provides spacious accommodation for up to six guests. The area is quiet and relaxing yet close to Newquay Padstow Port Isaac and a good base to explore Cornwall.\nThe beaches of Watergate Bay home to Jamie Oliver’s restaurant and great surf is close by as are the quaint coves of Porthcothan and the amazing stretches of golden sand at Constantine Bay and Harlyn Bay. Wadebridge an inland riverside town is a must with great local shops and pubs great restaurants and cafés which line the streets of this ancient town. Bike hire and kayak hire is available.\nPadstow is home to TV chef Rick Stein and his foodie empire is easily reached. Fish and chips on the harbour side or a pint in a fisherman’s pub is a favourite of locals and visitors alike. Newquay with its abundant surf culture is a great day out with seven beaches for seven days but if it’s a quieter day at the beach you want then Harlyn Bay has beautiful sand and some great surf schools and hire shops.\nThe Camel Creek Adventure Park is very close to The Stable. This is a family friendly experience with rides and farm animals making a great day out.\nThere are many golf clubs on the north coast of Cornwall from St Enedoc Golf Club to The Point at Polzeath and Merlin Golf Club which is at Mawgan Porth. So bring your clubs for some golf with a view. All in all this is a lovely barn conversion in a great spot all set in an outstanding county. Beach 6 miles. Shop 4 miles pub and restaurant 400 yards. \n " https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/106/840/10606161.jpg UKC2839

Beautiful home in a beautiful area. Would of liked a pub in walking distance but hey you can't have everything. The owners were lovely and friendly. There was everything you need in the home. Will definitely come back. Thanks

We had a lovely time . It was a shame the pub near the cottage is now shut but there are plenty of alternatives around and the cottage is in a good accessible position with the added benefit of being lovely and quiet. Hosts were brilliant and very helpful and friendly.

The Stable was a brilliant base for both North and South Cornwall. The Cottage was light and spacious, with the best equipped kitchen we've enjoyed of all the cottages we have visited over the years. The location was very peaceful, and good garden space to sit out in (weather permitting), where you can listen to birdsong and the geese calling. The lovely hosts were very welcoming, and the Sponge cake on arrival was enjoyed with thanks. Only downside was dreadful wifi and mobile signal! But this is not unusual in the wilds of Cornwall. There is one corner in the main bedroom where it is possible! We loved our stay here very much, and would recommend it to you.
